well in our move into the new building my pellets got put in the back, so do I move everything to get to them or do I buy a ton?? I decided to buy a ton from the local mill, advertised Hardwood heat for 179 wound up being easy heat brand made local 179.00 a ton.
First observation smelled like fresh cut wood.
Second; light in color
Third; a little longer than Somersets
loaded a bag in the stove probably wont be burning them till morning. Will keep everyone posted as to the results.
Has anyone burned these?? Did a search, found a couple year old threads did not look good.

Can't have enough pellets in my book so the extra ton won't hurt. If you really need to get at the buried pellets my guess is you will! Can't speak for the hardwood heat, never seen them up this way.

I heard something about Jay dismissing a newp rep. Maybe related?

according to the official company response to your request for freebees

you live to far away to ship them to you

Them freebies will get ya in all sorts of hot water! :p Freebies shipped from the mill could be special goods meant for the testing house if you know what I mean? ;em

Nope, Not for a good while now. I try to stay far away from anything NEWP. My toes still hurt from the last round! :(

Been burning easy heats for a couple of seasons now...probably 8 tons total. This seasons seem different....more heat...but a little more ash. Overall I have no complaints. Good folks to deal with......I got a bad batch last year.....they took care of me. Thats a great price!

One of the worst I burned. They started out last season and I found lots of "junk" in them. Some of the highest ash content and lowest heat on my T/C.

They may work well for some, but for $175, I will buy Sets. I'd rather burn GS's.. My 2 pennies

Here is the "junk" (plastic). I gave my last ton to my Father at the end of last season. He liked them, but he has half the area to heat and cleans his pot daily.

Just be glad they have not made it to Michigan and I will be glad that Michigan pellets haven't made it here ;)

Well, went downstairs this morning to check the stove and fill the hopper
more ash this morning than in a whole week with Set's
house was 2 degrees cooler than normal for these conditions and they say that can't happen with a Harman................
after seeing Dex's post, checked a little closer lots of blue stuff in my 2 bags I opened. Well live and learn, should of moved a few pallets and brought home my Set's.
These should do until the end of the year, should not need too much more heat here.
Anyone want some free left overs?????

Hey Guys:
Two years ago, I & my associates toured Easy Heat, located east of Dayton Ohio. Their source is old pallets & each were given two bags to try. Well, I never did buy any. The heat output was 100 F less than Contry Boy. They told us that they use diesel fuel to lubricate the dyes. I agree with Dex, these are not top grade pellets.

From what I am hearing about Country Boy, that may not be all that bad!==c

well came home to the burnpot overflowing with ash, house down five degrees, no changes except pellets.
that was a waste of 200 bucks, I will burn them maybe mix with Somewrsets???
turned stove up a notch, see what happens tonite
would not even recomend them to my worst enemy
you did ot miss out on anything Jay

I'm buying Somersets from now on. Thats it. Unless there is something cheaper and better.

But cheaper than $175 and better than Somersets?? Unheard of... ;)

I don't like saying "X" brand is chitty. But this one I will.
