I put some side in the tandem axle flatbed trailer. I used the X7 to shave down the 2x4s to fit nicely in the stack holes. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362263318.115016.jpg

Just wanted something to give it a side to role rounds or splits on and not have to worry about anything bouncing off. We have rough country roads. I also did not want to make to tall o have to lift rounds over. Also if I went double the height, side removal would have went from a one man job to a two man job

Would not be to difficult if we wanted to go higher. 2 2x4x8 and 2 2x6x14.

Kinda figured.
I've got one of those utility trailers with the angle iron rail up about a foot. Not quite enough and too much space for splits to fall through, so I've got an idea for a wooden rail that just slips over the top of that.
Maybe this spring.

Yeah we have one of those too. Since this is a tandem axle I can load it down, just wanted to have a little lip to tack against.

Probably the next thing I want to do out a winch at the front and strengthen the dove tail of the trailer and be able to skid logs right on there.

Forming up for a concrete pour?
Wondering why you didn't go higher? Your chioce, of course. I'm just nosy.

Laughed when I read that one. It reminded me of an old mail carrier who worked in town when I was a kid. The bed had rotted of his old pick up (A Ford if my memory still serves me) so he got the bright idea to make up some forms and pour a concrete bed for it over what he had cut down on the old bed. Didn't turn out too bad, but unfortunately the old truck didn't have the springs or hp to carry it around.

tandem axle flatbed trailer

I sure could use a trailer like that.....then I'd need a biger vehicle to tow it....then I'd be forced to pay more for insurance and gas....then I'd have to build at least a carport..... Never mind I guess i don't need it that bad!:p

Nice work. Hope it works great for you!
