Had to break it in with some ash rounds I had Layin about. Why didn't I build this thing along time ago???

That's gonna save you a lot of bending over!

i started out with no cradle, then made one, then made it bigger, last week made it bigger again

And ya even painted it!!!! Looks good!

Looks real nice Hillbilly, I'll have to remember that one, looks strong yet simple!

It's even very easily removable, slips on and off. I welded a small piece of angle to the splitter itself creating a pocket for the cradle to sit in, just a matter if lifting it off for transport or going into a vertical position. Total cost with a can of red rustoleum was about 30.00$.

That's a good seat for the mother in law when you have to take her home !

Nice job there HillbillyDlux.

cool beans..looks like it was factory equipment

Sweet. Ever consider a lip on the outer edge? It may help hold the one that tries to get away.

I wish I had toys like that!

I know this is an older thread, but HOLY MOLEY!!! You guys turned those splitters into REAL tools.
I just got a torch from my dad and when I went to switch the lease over the guy said the tanks were mine free and clear and no fees of any kind EVER.
Now to put it to use.......along with the welder.

I've got several welders (MIG and stick), and finally, after many years, I found a set of the BIG tanks, and I own 'em now.....
let me tell you, there's nothing like having your own oxy-acetylene tanks.......not much you can't do with welders and torches.....::-)

I own a medium size set of tanks and that is by far the easiest and cheapest option for me. I don't need them filled very often so paying a tank rental fee would really get on my nerves.

I have an AC4 and an OX125. They last quite a while. I had an older wheelchair-looking thingy, so I turned it into a torch cart. I never liked putting tanks on a dolly and trying to get them to balance on the ground. Now I have a six-wheeled torch cart that is almost impossible to tip over. It almost rolls itself and it has TWO parking brakes. I need to make a couple of baskets for attachments, but things take time. I will post a pic when I get the time. My next project is that splitter table.;)
