Norway or Silver Maple
 
Sure looks like silver maple, and with the sap really flowing this time of the year, she's bound to be wet and heavy!
 
I agree, one of the soft maples. Not Norway, I don't think.

I'd say Red Maple, although it could be Silver Maple. I don't see a lot of Silver Maple so I tend tot hink of Red first when I see soft maple. It is not Norway Maple.

Thats maple. c/s/s it. It won't be heavy next year!;)
 
I don't think its producing any sap. It came down last year in one of the storms we had.
Oh it will still have sap in it, even if it's been down for a long time. Trust me, that's a silver maple......

Maple sap is not like pine 'sap'. Its more like water........I can see by looking at that round in the pic that it is soaked.
 
was thinking white pine from the bark...but the interior is maple
