...whew!,...well at least that explains the explosion!

To help get things back on track? Isn't the BTU raing WAY OFF between the PP II and the P-61? Didn't the PP 2 used to be the P-38?

So it's around 40,000 BTU?

What size area are you looking to heat? Being in SE Pa, you should have a few rather Awesome pellets in your locale. Shop around and find what you like and what the Hormone likes ;)

Welcome to the Forum

The PP II is almost exactly the same size as the P61. I think it may be 1.5" skinnier, same depth. I have an 1800-2000 sq ft farmhouse with lower ceilings and a fairly open floor plan. Hoping I'll be ok. This thing is absolutely immacculate, the original owner lived in Maryland and only used it for "show" when friends and family stopped by. I opened the back and it's so clean you could eat off it! No worries about derailment! I was at my night class so I couldn't check.... you are all awesome BEER and HARMEN lovers! LOL... glad to see such an active forum! Hoping my OCD will keep the stove nice and clean for a few seasons while I save up for a real P61. :) Thanks all!

The size may be the same (dimensions), but what about BTU?

The P series all look alike, but the 61 will kick the 43's @ss all day long.

Size is one thing. Heat is another.

Again, welcome. If you like to save money, have fun, poke jabs, and have a beer. Then your gonna fit right in.

That's a beautiful unit. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

Thanks! Oh and the name AddictiveStew isn't very exciting... It's what the Xbox 360 suggested to me a couple years back when I had it auto generate a username. Thought it was rather unique and figured what the hell... :)

Well I wouldn't worry so much about the crickets your referred to. Being that you are new, you may not yet realize that if someone misspells Harman all hell breaks loose around here. Same thing happens when beer is brought up.

Here you have both so the topic is destined to go off the rails for a while. :p

Sometimes it come back, sometimes it turns to a train wreck. That's part of what makes this dysfunctional family of ours tick ;lol
He lost me when he called it a P61-2 in the other thread......;)

I found a manual on this unit and it looks like it is rated at 7-55K BTU, so it falls between the P43 and P61. Here is the link as it is something you should keep on hand:

NOW regarding OCD: Stew. meet Dex- 'nuff said ;)

Good luck with the new toy and enjoy the heat!

clean stove, great, but can you still get parts (yea, I know the answer to this)? The mainboard and daughterboard? Correct me if Im wrong, but that model has 2 circuitboards in it, right? If ya cant get parts, it had better be pretty cheap!

Oddly enough, the mainboard was just replaced in September. Looks brand new. I'm trying to figure out how they did it, since it doesn't resemble the same interface I see online. I should post pics. It's definitely a different set of controls (including an auto light) then I see in the original manual. The board is definitely brand new as well. I'll take some pics tonight to post, maybe you guys can shed some light? The unit works great! This is the interface it has if I remember correctly: http://mommyshomestead.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/152.jpg

I could be wrong, but it looks like they stuck a P43 board in this unit. It works just fine too... wondering if this could be a fix for those Pellet Pro II users that are looking for the infamous mother/daughterboard?

And here I was thinking that if anyone might have a few old parts laying around, it may be LW or Kinsman.

Hope he doesn't need parts. Other than boards, are other parts same as being used today?
