when's it halfway through March and junk can be had for $188/ton at Lowe's - I'm willing to drop my standards a bit.

Lowe's just dropped their price on Green Supreme's to $188/ton - they had 10 ton in the store and were expecting one more truckload...

I bought 6 bags to try yesterday and I agree there not to bad.A lot of ash but its a light ash and doesn't clog the burn pot.HD in Bridgewater had about 10 tons at $209.

Yup,.. just got a ton at my Lowes for $188, too,.. and I dont even consider it a standard drop!!,....... not when I get a consistent 350-400 degrees for 14+ hrs out of one bag.

Same at the Lowes in Seabrook. Went in the other day and told only had Maines Choice. Thought I would rather use the Oil than those. Went back the next day for something else and they had Supremes. There fine for the last few weeks . lot of Dust and ash though, but get me through.

im a sucker for buying cheap but the green supremes aren't worth the time so much ash build up its crazy, no clinkers once air is opened up a tad more but the exhaust clogging isn't any good going up on the roof to save a few bucks not worth the savings AGAIN JUST MY OPION ( besides cuts into my beer time)

We can't have now;)

Oh no... Can't have that. ;lol

GS's ain't terrible, both my stoves burn them well. The heat ain't great, they smell terrible (IMO), and the ash is a little high. But for the end of the year. Burn'em if you got'em :)

I have a lead on some AWF for $3.33 a bag. Guy has about 2 ton he is looking to get rid of. I'm trying to get him down to $3.00 or even $3.25. That would be $300 for 2 ton :) Gotta keep my stash stocked!! ;)

Everyone is different but all Ive burned the last 3 years is GS. I have had zero problems with them. However I do have a fairly well insulated 900 square foot home, so that could be part of the reason they work well for me. There are quite a few mornings I wake up to 78+ degrees which is way to warm so I can't use a "better" pellet than these, but like I said NO complaints. :)

All the Home Depot's in Southern CT are out of stock. They had been selling Stove Chow. But Lowe's around here still has GS. My sense is that if you maintain your stove well, burn anything. The $100 per ton savings per ton for "super premium" is worth the risk.

My wife cleans the insert in the living room and she actually enjoys it unless I'm burning gs as the ash pan is small on my lopi and its filled everyday burning. Gs so my choice is a different brand or one more stove for me to clean so the choice is clear

There is no pellets to be found in my area, unless I want to burn mulch. I think there is a thread on that..lol

Augusta doesnt have any more and all surounding stores are spld out except for Maine Brand pellets ! my Business partner picked up a pallet of LaCretes today in lisbon and he was running low waiting on a load tomorrow !

Green Supreme's do stink.

The do produce a lot of ash, but I burn Lacrete's and other clean burning softwoods all year - so 20-30 bags of an ashy pellet at year end won't kill my flue.

And when I picked mine up, Lowes said they were getting another truckload - so keep checking.
