Does anyone know what model this is? Who makes it? 2013-03-11_16-23-51_423.jpg2013-03-11_16-24-05_561.jpg2013-03-11_16-24-17_587.jpg

Avalon Astoria???

Looks like a Whitfield Profile 20???

Eric

Profile 30 I believe.

The Profile 20 had the door handle pointing down.

The 30 has it pointing up. Just sayin ;)

AFAIK, all Whitfields with those handles were designed to be pointing down....never seen a stove with the handle up....wouldn't make any sense as vibration would tend to try to "unlatch" it Also, the 30 doesn't have the handle built into the lid....the Advantage Optima does.

Good point there, imacman! Nevertheless, the Profile 30 was designed in that way and it's the only Whitfield that I know of with this special detail.
The Optima 3 has a safety door lock mechanism that only can be opened with a special Tool. See pics and illustrations below.

zrtmatos, if you can get that stove for $300,- Go for it. Basically the same stove as my Quest Plus, but many improvements are made. The most important is that it's much much easier to clean than my stove, as there are ash clean-out ports. See Photo.
Only thing that needs a little extra attention is the photo eye, but it's easy to access for cleaning from the hopper.

I stand corrected on the door handle.....never saw a stove w/ the handle facing up.

It was Stovensen that posted the info in a thread awhile back, on the Profile 20 and 30 that made me learn also...
