Hello

I have seen RTV used alot. Anything better? This big thimbal leaks alot!

I can feel the cold air wafting into the garage! You can see the light coming thru in the picture!

Clear RTV is all I have ever used.

Because DT doesn't get that hot, you probably don't need High temp.

I would make a wood collar, spray it with dry moly, slide the collar around then venting, then put on about a gallon of RTV silicone on the wall and collar, then smash the collar against the wall, cover it with some foil tape, and spray down the venting with dry moly so the all the piping will match. Should seal her right up.

Or listen to Dexter.

Thanks Dexter, I just may go with that. Yep the DT is not hot at all. Not sure why there still is a thimble and another air gap?

Got the Surge and AC wall box in today while it snowed all day!

Now I have to do the T-Stat, you know a Quad will not work very well without one!

Or install an oak to reduce drafts

The Selkirk DT has the OAK built in. One hole for exhaust vent and OAK. You may want to try it sometime Scott, I can give you a tech discount on it. :)

Looks like an extension cord supported by clips.

Yes, but it goes into a metal waterproof surface wall box screwed into a wall stud. The best I could do for a garage install.
Better than an extension cord lying on the floor that could get wet and run over. LOL

should use SJ cord or UF wire in a garage and anything under 6 feet should be in conduit. but looks good for an extension cord

I was going to plug it into my power bench right next to it. That would be perfectly legal, but then I would have to leave the bench power on all the time. LOL
