For those that know what it is....Merry Meet!

For those of you not sure what "Ostara" is, it is what I and other earth based religion followers (Pagans, Wiccans) celebrate on the first day of spring, the vernal equinox.

There are a lot of similar practices for Ostara and Easter, in fact, Easter is figured as the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after Ostara, unless the full moon is on a Sunday, then it's delayed a week. Also, many of the icons associated with Easter, dying eggs, rabbits, etc are based on old rituals to signify the "rebirth" of spring and fertility.

Not sure how the whole marshmallow Peep thing came to be but around here, it just ain't the season without them (we poke holes in the wrappers and let them get stale before we eat them though)

Regardless of what you practice, the days are getting longer (not any warmer around here though) and that means more daylight to cut and stack wood ;)

No, I can only imagine the big sticky mess as it explodes!

Working in printing most of my life, I had employees over the years run "weird" things through the roll laminators. It became sort if a wall of plastic coated things hanging in my office, I have a sick sense of humor, from dead bugs found on the loading docks to pieces of bologna. One year someone put a peep through the machine. It squished and melted it as the heat rollers run about 275 degrees but made a 4ft smear of marshmellow goo until it went through. It was funny, guess you had to be there ;)
