Props on the quick job bucking up that load... you do more in a weekend than I do in a month. Looks good there weathering in natures glory.

Wish it was only foam. Appears mother nature is making up for no winter this year, by a long cold winter this year.

Savage, trust me, I pay the price for it. Shows me just how out o shape I am. I end up horizontal aching and cramping on the couch after a day of processing.

I've been use a dremel type sharpener for 25+ years, it's by far the fastest, and easiest way to sharpen a chainsaw in the field.
You can keep that white stuff BTW, I'm glad we are done with it for the year, we had record setting snow falls this winter and I'm sick of pushing it around.

I gotta say - I have never seen a nail cut in half length wise.
I am surprised that the chain could finish the cut. All I have to do is touch one and the GD chain goes dead. Slow down a little, brother. Ain't no reason to ruin the next day. I use that same theory for drinking.

Still cutting with that chain. Sharpened a few times since of course. Stihl makes great chains. Recouping till next weekend. ;-)

Nice stacks! Hopefully we'll get some better processing weather this weekend. Need to get some splitting in. Gonna be fishing up in the Cumberland valley the 30th.

750.00 I would not turn my nose up to scrounging.....750.00 buys a lot of part-time help. Now I should have a guy dumping at the house today and for the next couple days. Price is gas money babahaha! I will post picks if it happens. (Should though he dont want to pay dump prices)

Around here, ain't nobody "dumping" wood. Nobody.
Majority of folks around here are wood burners, or coal burners. The oil and gas are only a majority in the city. Out here, very few heat with oil or NG.
Not much free wood as you folks may have. I am very happy with what I paid vs what I got, and the ease of processing in my front drive. I would not turn down free wood, but have not been offed any delivered and dumped for free either. Anyone paying to dump, or dumping wood at all is not a very smart person, or very good business person. Might was well throw away money. You may have that there, but folks are too money wise here.

I am just out side of a city of 5k all old growth monster tree thats a major problem. I just have them drop then pay 8-10 bucks an hour for help. I can now run about 25.00 a cord stacked. I would pay a dime for anyone I had to baby- set that kinda person just dont fit in with me.
Its all luck but never give up on scrounging.- Status
