North American Pellets. Never tried them before. Got 'em at HD since I was right next door. They were out of Firesides.

Freakin dust plume when you pour them and unbelievably ashy. I get more ash in 24 hours w/these than I do in a week with almost anything else including box store Ultras. And clinkers the size of VW Bugs.

Never again. I'll call the oil guy before I'd give these another shot.

Just burned my first bag of McFeeters. I must have gotten a bad bag, since many people seem to like these.
When I got home, there was a wall of ash on the front of the burn pot. Cleared and scraped the burn pot, but still couldn't get a decent flame going. Scooped them out of the hopper, re-bagged them, and plan on dumping them in the campfire this summer. More ash in 1/3 bag than I have in one week of burning Vermont's.

This year for me, hands down, goes to GAP's....they were LOADED with ash and I burned a half ton of them....a very close second were Cheat River......

Totally agree. Bought mine a Home Depot in Nashua - never again. Maine's Choice are not to far behind.

Just bought 10 bags of MWP to hold me over for a couple of weeks.
These were the two I was going to nominate as well. Never buy again. I will stick with the fireside ultras for cheap, and go to a cubix or green team for high heat.

Mcfeeters didn't burn we'll for me either. A ton of ash in 4 bags.

I bought some Maines Choice to try and they were horrible! The worst pellet I've burned. Dusty, low heat, cheap bags, etc. I can't believe these other pellets are worse.

I've had the same experience -- they don't even like lighting for me, let alone burning. I'm mixing them with Barefoots for now, but I'm actually dreading getting my way through the 20 bags I have left. Good heat, but never again with McFeeters!

They barely stayed lit for me as well. The guy I bought them from said, "Let me know what you think. Some people love them, and some hate them."

Oh yeah. We picked up a ton of the wood fibers. Horrible nasty pellets. Ash pan overflowing and everywhere

Looks like North American has it locked 3 years in a row.

I vote for Michigan wood pellets.

Anyone who knows how big the ash pan on a Fahrenheit furnace is knows that the pics attached to this post ain't from burning anything quality. This was two weeks worth, somewhere between 12 and 14 bags. Even I couldn't believe how much ash was in that pan when I pulled it.

I looked today and I have 4 bags of that chit left. They'll be gone by the end of next week. Good riddance and lesson learned.

For me the Great Americans, left over from last year, were filthy. Filled the stove with ash in a matter of days after a full cleaning. They came free with the stove on a Harman promotion but will never buy them.

Another vote for North Americans. Bought a few bags at Lowes in December to try them out. Had to pick wood chips out of my hopper out of about 5 or 6 brands that I tried these were the worst.
Best part is they had a clear back to the bag so you could see the pellets I guess I didn't see the wood chips! Had good luck with Stove Chow (the june '12 date code 4 tons) sept date code(12 bags) was not as good don't know if it had to do with how they were stored before I bought them or the factory. Had good luck with Green Supreme. Of course they both have a lot of ash compared to a high end brand at least from what I've read here.

I call B.S.! I (and probably most of us here) would compress cardboard in a vise and burn it, if it staved off calling for an oil delivery!

With all of these negative comments about North American's, I wonder how well other pellets would burn in my stove. I burnt NA's the second half of this season.
