Blower is starting to squeek pretty bad. Want to replace it before next years chill. They want $195 at the dealer but really the motor works fine it must just be a bearing. Possible to pull it apart and replace just the bearing? I mean if it was put together it must be able to be taken apart.
If this idea is to complicated to bother with then what about aftermarket blowers? Looking through the forums I found -
"Hello J
It could be the same blower. Most blowers for the Wood Pellet stoves are made by Fasco or Dayton.
So if you really want to save money and DIY, then remove the blower from the Harmon P68. Most likely there will be the Blower's manufacturer's sticker with specs on it.
If it is Fasco or Dayton then look for the same blower in the Grainger catalog like J did."
Unfortunately mine is covered in black and I cant get it off even after endless scrubbing. Would anyone know the correct blower for the Harman P68 from one of these manufacturers?

Thanks in advance for any info at all.

If you wait til summer, what do you have to lose? The fan on my bixby is known for having bearings go. Originally Bixby stated that fan had to be replaced. One user took apart the fan, replaced bearings, and now that is a common and easy fix for noisy blower motors.

Ya I will be holding out till the weather warms up so it can be apart without worries. The bearings dont come with a part number. would anyone know where i might find the correct size?

size should be stamped on bearings. My fan takes 608 bearings; fan is made in Germany.

Mine is a Dayton 99080464 115V 60/50Hz 0.8A <------rotation-----< Clockwise, if your looking at the blades. the rotation arrow was on the sticker.

Do a search in the forums (upper right of page) for P68 Combustion blower. There is a discussion about the mfg p/n for this blower. I think this is it in the part you need but double check me. I replaced my in the fall the old one seemed a bit noisy even after removing and cleaning the blades I found the part number in the forums. This place had the best price when I ordered and they shipped it out right away. I even got $5 off by signing up for their emails. Double check the p/n if you decide to order. You could buy 3 for the price the dealer is asking.

thank you both, now we are getting some where.
cant check the actual blows numbers because there is just so much black on the sticker. I tried washing it off multiple times and i get enough off to know there is print there but can't make it out. So I am flying blind here.

I notice on that link that blower has a sleeve bearing not ball. wouldnt this effect the lifespan of the bearing?

Once you get the number it should be somewhere around $75-100 at Graingers.

Did some investigating P/N 99080464 turns out to be a Broan Part number. Dayton must have used broans motor at one time as mine has a Dayton sticker with this part number. Can be found on Amazon: Broan 99080464 (corded motor only) $70+8.99 S+H. Daytons version 2C647 also on amazon for 63.99 free S+H looks like whole assembly motor, fan and squirrel cage.
