In The Woods
This Cherry is rotten at the top an damaged on the bottom so I'll have this down before the end of April.

It was planned for last fall, not sure why I never grabbed it.

EEeeekkk. Careful of the widowmakers. I don't like dead stuff at the tops.

May want to try and just pull that one over from a distance if the bottom is rotten or damaged enough?? You know well enough to be careful with those!!

The bottom is still strong enough that it won't be able to be pulled down, I will throw a cable around it so we can pull it down ( gently) with the rhino when I'm cutting.

Just some cleaning up of some branches on the forest floor so my escape routes are clear, then it comes down.

I hate them too Jags.

You know enough to be very careful zap and we wish you good luck on that one. Glad it is you and not me cutting that thing.

The v will be made with the regular chainsaw along with a small cut on the back right when looking at the picture, the rest will be done the pole saw (extended) with a cable around the tree hooked to the back of the rhino.

Run Forest....

I've used the pole saw on some really big stuff before. I took the spark arrestor out of mine, retuned it, and it has more power, probably enough to run a 16" bar and chain in a pinch, if need be.........

Like the others said, be careful brother. Oh and a full progress report with pics will be required when done, of course.....;)

I think the camera still works.==c Tonight turned out to be an off night from the wood, went for a small ride then picked up our fishing license, my father put in his order for some wild leeks and walleye tonight, St.Lawrence River here I come.

Good luck Jags. Your pole saw usage has me intrigued. Would definitely like pictures...video would be even better ==c

So where do we put this "order" in?==c
The only problem with fishing the St.Lawrence is the invasive species, after I fish in the St.Lawrence the boat needs to be cleaned with a mixture of water and bleach before I want to run the boat in the waters up here.( I'll have to check on the mixture, it's been a couple of years since I was on the St. Lawrence)
