I don't think it's so unusual. When I used oil, I usually didn't turn the heat off for good until May. I think last year we all got spoiled with it being 83 degrees on March 23rd.

I felt the same all winter. Also with the snow. Everyone was commenting on how high the snow banks were. They didn't seem high to me.....

A "normal" winter just wish it would get gone. Pellet stash should make it - but just barely. Had to use the snow blower the other day with the 4" we got Monday and Tuesday. Only good thing about the slow warm-up will be less likelihood of flooding along the Red River in North Dakota and Manitoba (unless we get a whack of rain:()

My supply didn't make it this season either. Had to get another ton a week ago to make it through the cold spring nights.

X2,

Seems many have used a bit more than usual this season.

Well, in my case I started burning about 3 weeks earlier than usual. I normally don't have to kick the stove on until beginning of Nov but this year I turned it on around Oct 10 - so there are more burning days at both ends of this season to account for running low on pellets.

Where are the pics hoss?

I have about 17 more bags if I remember correctly of the mwp blend. That ought to be enough so I don't touch the full ton of mwp softies.

Didn't even get a pic, got home from work, they were here. Put 'em in the cellar (25 minute job). Pic woulda just been one more ton of MWP, if ya want I can prob'ly fine a pic from sometime over the last few years of one lonely little ton sittin' in the corner by it's ownself, that looks just like this one.

Just joking around really more than anything. You know if I didn't say it that someone else would have... ;)

We got squat for snow but from the first of November till two weeks ago we were 10-15 degrees below "normal" all the way through so fuel consumption was up.

Blame global warming...

So far I have used my stove daily - nightly 6 weeks longer than last year and 3 bags shy of my 2011-2012 total
