I stopped this morning at a place about 8 miles from my house and bought 5 bags of the green label Lignetics at $4.50 a bag $225.00 a ton and if I by 3 or more (I figure I wanted at least 3 tons for next year) he will deliver them for free, add in maybe $30.00 for the guy with the highlift to unload them and I am into $235.00 a ton for these.

From what I see these are good to above average pellets. Is that a good, fair or other price?

Thanks

Not bad, they were average, to slightly above average for me. Mine were the "Blend" (hardwood and conifer mix), but most are Hardwood only, so best to try before you buy. Burn those 5 bags and see how you/your stove likes them.

Not bad for the price. Could possibly do better at BB store? If pricing in your area is o.k.?

Thanks
For THAT pellet, it is a good price. Lignetics pellets (in that label) are typically sold at Ace Hardware and True Value stores, and get transported twice; once from the mill to a central warehouse, and secondly, from the central warehouse to a store. Therefore, the added freight usually puts the retail price higer than other brands. The reality is, in SW PA, you are right in the heart of Hamer country, which is going to be around the same price as the lignetics, and it is twice the pellet as Lignetics. I'd be willing to bet that by using good-ole Google, that you can find Hamer's Hot Ones in your area for about the same money. If you can, the that is your winner. Hamer is having an aggressive spring sale price this season and they come right out of West Virginia. Good luck! Lignetics are not a bad pellet, but they are nothing to write home about either.

Thank you for the input, I emailed the Hamer people to see if I have a dealer close to me.

I've burned those before and found them to be 'average'. if the price is right at the average mark too, that may be a good run for you.

Ace hardware in Kennebunk, Me was selling them for $6.59 a bag. Crazy price.

Okay i found Hamers for 225 at one place and 229 at another delivery is 90 bucks for 3 ton so that is 255.
