I picked up a cord of locust that was split over (4) years ago, mixed w/ some poplar and maple. There were a hand full of times when I went to grab a split & several were glued together. It took alot of force to pull them apart, and in the middle I would find these stringy nests in parallel rows, w/ bright green/yellow caterpillars. They were only on the locust splits.Can anyone identify them & are they a nuisance pest bad for neighborhood trees?
