Send it north west :)

Nice stacks & shed ;)

Stuff gets heavier every year. I guarantee it.

Nice ... ahhhhm officially envious...until winter ;)

I have little room for storing wood here; it's cramping my scroungestyle. And yes, Oak requires a lot of patience.

But that sure looks like a nice setup there in the woods.

Just kidden! ;)

But it sure is a heavy wood to deal with. :)
Tell me about it! I'm in the middle of a Red Oak score, a 30" blow-down, so it's soaking wet and heavy! I stayed here today and worked on a dead standing White Ash. Light as a feather compared to the Oak...almost like having the day off. :)

See you have Stihl - which saw are you running? Just picked up a MS290 - happily cutting through oaks, ash and elm this weekend.

The old 1 ton didn't complain about hauling oak this weekend. But made the load of cherry I cut the next day seem super light by comparison!

Hey! Get that oak off the ground and get some pallets under it at least!;lol

I scrounged some Red & White Oak last fall, I'm not sure if I'll split it smaller but I will take a moisture meter reading this fall. It looks good Loon, your area has dried out pretty good.

Looks good Loon and you'll appreciate all that hard work later when you burn it. For sure I found out that the oak I cut last winter did not lose any weight yet. Heavy stuff it is.
