2012/2013 flipped to 2015/2016 (wife made signs, back of 12/13 is 15/16)

15/16 is almost 1/2 full,
Wood is out back to season thru the summer.

Plans is to fill it in early Fall & then start on 2016/17.
Each section holds 6.5 ± cords.

That's cool! I really need to label my stacks. It's all banked in memory but I may be selling my house and moving my hoard. So will need them labeled so I know what to burn and when

Sweet. Looks like good motivation and satisfaction looking at a winters heat 3 years out!

I hate this site. I have to keep seeing all of those nice wood sheds and hearths. And going and throwing beer cans at mine. <>

Awww brings tears of joy to my eye! I'm new to this whole thing but I would love to have a nice organized stack and be sitting pretty for 3 plus years! However I don't even have a stove yet and I am looking like I may have a few years of wood by the time winter comes lol! Must build wood shed!

It'll come with time. Get that stuff dries out first then you can build a shed and stack it with dry stuff. You got the fever now so your in for the long run.

That there is beautiful.

You are making more work for me. LOL. Maybe I will give that job to my wife.
Every time I am on here I see some good ideas. I am making a saw buck today.

I remember as well. Not hard to do with only 20 cords at the house.

Do I spy Moose antler in the upper right? Moose jerky.......hmmmmm:rolleyes: Moose meat pie.....hmmmmm:rolleyes: 500 lbs. of moose burger....hmmmmmm:rolleyes:

I need to start doing that as I'm now scrounging at different times of the year.
Some way to mark the wood so it won't wash off, or signs that are easily changed out.
My memory ain't what it used to be.>>

I finally have my stacks where I use one row a year and I have four rows. If I ever start building another structure on my property my wife will insist it be something she can park her car in but I really wish I had a wood shed.

Or just some colors will work too but then you have to make notes of which color means which year. Sometimes getting older is not so handy....

This section is 2013/14 wood, stuffed full, about 6.5 cord. 2-1/2 & 3 year old CSS wood.

The wood is for 15/16 , the back 2 rows is late Oct 2012 & about 1/2 cord of Jan 2013 wood.
Freshest cut & split stuff & I figured it would dry there as well as out in the long stack.
This stuff will go in this fall & hopefully fill it to about 7 cords of 15/16 wood:

This end section is 14/15 wood. 1/2 full.

The wood cut last Sept/Oct will go in here this fall to fill it.
This end of the stack goes in 14/15 to fill it to 7-1/2 cord. Any left hopefully tops off the 15/16 middle section.

Dat slotta wood and dat slotta moose...life is good:)

You've come a long way baby.
I mean that in a completely manly way.:p

I'm almost there!
The year with back surgery slowed my plan a bit. Has
taken 2 years to get caught back up & should go "ahead" by this Fall!
Hopefully by this fall, I'll be on track & slightly ahead :)

Plan is:
Shed full thru 2015/16
& 7 cord of 16/17 wood out back, CSS'd & seasoning
all before winter.

Real nice bogy, I'm still working on 2013/14, and 2014/15  almost got enough dead wood for 2013/14

Life is what happens while we're making other plans.
My plans get sidetracked quite often, but ya gotta keep on keepin on.

Thanks

I recall your last score was a good one .

Nice thing is, we can only be caught up for a while,
then we burn a bunch of wood & get to do it again.

Good thing it's fun ;)
