That's some fancy wood you got there. Are you gonna split them or leave them as they are? Looks like a real PIA to split rounds that small.

Anything less than 5" I'm gonna let be, usually I'd split a round that is over 3", but with no bark I can't see this stuff holding moisture like wood that has bark on it. There are quite a few 5-10inchers in the loads I've hauled since this pic. I've started processing those, makes a nice looking stack.

Nice find for sure! Here's to hoping you can drum up a long-term relationship with this plywood plant. You may very well have some of the nicest, cleanest, and most desired stacks in the Firewood Hoarder's Club!!

That is an awesome score. I would not even split them, just cut them to size/season.

I had about 2 face cord of maple rounds ranging from 6-10" in diameter which i used for my overnight burns this year.

Well I thought I'd show off the piles of wood I've hauled in the past few days. This is 12+ cord at my remote processing site some is also for family.

This is 5 cord at my place to add to the wood I've already had stacked for 15 months

It's hard to tell in the pics, but this stuff is wetter than green. The process they use to peel these uses 140 degree steam and a water soaking. Man is it heavy, much heavier than green tree-length, which is what I'm used to cutting my own wood, but this beats cutting, although the scroungeing will never stop ;em.
Between my place and "the remote processing site" there are 16 cord +/-

So there you have it. I was talking to them and a friend and I are now talking about having a wheeler load (10 cord) hauled to "the remote processing site" for around 22 cord. We'll see how that goes.

Oh and in the last pic at my place, I've already c/s/s about 1/2 cord which is not in the pile you see. You can see the difference in the pile's nice shape at my place compaird to behind the barn about 20 miles away.......

I like the "remote processing site". Sounds kinda secret.
