After five days of warm weather (above freezing) I thought spring was here for good and that we wouldn't have any more "late" storms. Two of the days were in the 70's, barely, but along with lots of sunshine, warm nights (above freezing also) the snow pak really took a beating and we actually had a yard of aboout 60% abre ground. There is a lot of flooding in the area because when the melt started, the ground was still frozen; as evidenced by the amount of water we had running into 99's basement!

BUT! then along comes Wednesday night with a winter storm warning (along with the flash flood warning). Schools were let out early again; businesses were closing early again; snowplows couldn't keep up with the snowfall again; You get the picture. At last check, I measured 11" on the back deck with more still coming.

Now then, this should be it fir the snow...right?

Yep. Reading today that lots of May snow records are being set from the Rockies east. Hate to tell ya but it is gorgeous Spring weather here on the right coast. Sixties and sunny in the day and forty at night. Now if the tornadoes and earthquakes just hold off for a while...

So how much did you end up with Dave?

Yeah, 74 here today but 40 at night = stove burning here :) Didn't think I'd be burning into May....better make sure I double my "shoulder" wood from now on! It's always sunny and 70 on the couch, as my hubby says ;)
