Dave, it seems some of your air is coming our way. Temp at 81 today and tomorrow forecast a high of 47 with falling temperatures. This does not look good for the apples and other fruit trees. Not many times we don't get apples 2 years in a row but maybe this year. We'll see. I think our low forecast for this cold spell is 30.

WE had 65° today :)
Finally thawing out.
Seeing some buds on the birch trees
Maybe we broke over the hump & can have a few nights above freezing (fingers crossed)

Have a place to stay?
Flying to Anchorage on the 9th, picking up a RV on the 11th for two weeks. Heading to Homer and up to Fairbanks, but nothing is written in stone. Two guys two weeks of bumming around, NO WORK!

I went to Alaska last year for the first time, and it won't be my last for sure! It's awesome up there. My friends just went up there two days ago. They have a cabin on the Kenai Peninsula, and that's where I stayed last year. Red fishing was phenomenal!

I likely will be driving to the L48 during that timeframe.
