We ate lunch at mom and dads today for Mother's Day and mom asked if I could get that locust split up that was laying in the field. So took the splitter along and went out to take care of it. My wife even came out to help, and held the kido while runnin the splitter! And all that on Mother's Day! I ended up bucking up a small maple that fell a few weeks ago too, good day. Even though it snowed on me out there.

Does she have a single sister....preferably a twin;)

She needs some gloves, ear muff/plugs and some safety glasses. :)

Glad everything worked well... but.... splits 'pop', splits 'slip', etc. I run the splitter around here - last time when I was splitting I had a mud covered 12" round slip off the push plate under pressure and socked me square across my middle, knocked me backwards and knocked the air right out of me. Kudos to the wife helping but keep the kiddos safely out of the way.

Family....Ain't it great. Nothing can trump that!;)

It's ironic, but the family that splits together stays together!

Be carful out there shari, glad you did not get hurt any more then the wind knocked out of you.
Good point about the kids, had a piece of wood go flying out of the splitter earlier ths spring, sometimes you never know what will happen.

Just curious why the splits didn't go straight into the truck.
Great family pics.
In the middle of tryin to buy a house. Not sure if the splits are goin to my current house or if I'm getting the new place. Don't want to move it more than needed. And little brother has a bobcat at the house so loading truck will be easy.

I won't let my wife split or stack but when she helps out while cutting the wood, those are the best days! It is just nice working together.
