Just got my dads old John Deere. This thing is awesome! Def took the work out of moving rounds to the split pile.

Picture two the stack is kind of leaning. LOL

Yea it does a little. The rack is twisted pretty bad bc the board warped. They are only temporary racks for rounds to sit in until I get them split. I stack on pallets so I move the rack out of the way until I get another load.

Lol, old is def relative. It's a 99' model so it's about 14 years old. It needs a little work but nothing major. Few seals and leaks need addressed

Love my small tractor/bucket too. Use it to bring rounds out of the woods to the truck and to load those big rounds onto the splitter unless I decide to go vertical.

Sweet
look to be easy on the yard & grass too.

Sweet! I'd love to have a loader - perhaps in 5 years or so. Careful with the boy under the bucket! Cheers!

Hey, isn't that one of those $17K lawnmowers that BrotherBart couldn't find a use for? ;) :p ;lol

It's got a useless hydrostatic transmission too. ::-)

Trilifter,

Did it come with a snowblower? That'd be the first thing I look for for a 445. These tractors are an absolute BEAST with the 47" two-stage blower. You'd be hard pressed to find a pile that it won't move rather quickly. Plus that fuel injected engine is sweet in the cold temps too.

It doesn't but that might go on the wish list. My dad always used the loader to move snow off his driveway. Small stuff and the plow did fine but anything over 3-4" and the loader was the way to go.

Oh - I could find plenty of uses for the tractor. Its the $17k that I could find better uses for.;lol

Loader would be last on my list for snow removal tools. But that's my personal preference. Love the blowers, less cleanup in the spring and no such thing as plow banks.

That machine should push or throw it, your choice. ==c

The snow blower looks nice but I'm still going to have to say the loader is way more fun! It's heavy and can plow thru almost any snow depth. And you can scoop and drop the snow piles where ever you want to keep the snow banks from piling up.

True, but I got it for free!! Good thing my parents decided to downsize when they moved!!

Agreed that it works. It's just relatively slow. (Beats the snot out of a shovel tho! ;lol) And fun? That blower in 12"+ is a blast. ::-)
