Throw on the cutting chaps and head gear , don't want to catch a chill;) then skid out some dead, elm, cherry and ash.. Spent a day making rows of logs , then went back and am bucking them up, loading the four wheeler then bring them down to split and stack.. 3 loads comes out to be around 3/4 cord.

I hope you got it inside before it rained. I was in Middleburgh and it was pouring buckets.

Looked at the weather in motion forecast before I headed out.. Knew by 2 pm I'd be getting wet,, got done with 10 minutes to spare...Worked out good...Yes it did rain good...

Fantastic set up!!!!
Only better thing for me would be to put the split wood right onto a pallet instead of into the wagon and then onto the wood racks.. That would eliminate a step in handling the wood. Then bring the pallets to my back breezeway during the winter to pick my wood from, eliminating another handling step, not picking the wood from my racks to bring up to my house.

Cool. Glad to see the little guy is gaurding your tools and wood. He looks serious about it.

Benny definitely likes hanging out when I'm harvesting wood...He's pretty good about staying out of the way... He''ll just sit and watch at times... Before I fell a tree I'll check to see where he is,, make sure all is clear.. He's a great buddy! I loves the four wheeler rides,, sits right next to me , licks my face , giving me a thanks for taking me look...

Love the shed, Charly! You've got a beautiful property (I saw some pics of it before), as well as a great processing set-up. Now if you could just teach Benny to stack that wood as it's coming out of your speed-splitter!!

Shed is just an old garage,, no doors,,, center post in front is just floating.. Like to jack it up and add a header to the back side for a clear span,,, eventually I'd like to drive pallets of wood in with my tractor,, maybe the garage would hold one season of pallet wood not stacking the pallets.. Right now I burn a side a season.. Thinking a pallet jack would let be get pallets tight in the garage, then get a pallet out with the jack so I can grab it with the tractor forks.. Want to handle the wood less...I have a nice breezeway that I can drop pallets of wood off at the back off the house, then just pick the wood off as I need it... So I would just split and handle the wood once putting it onto the pallets.. that would be a big time saver..

I was thinking more like move to a better state. If it hit the 80s here I'd be camped out on the couch in my undies with about 17 fans blowing on me!

Nate this would be the one time where the first rule of the Hearth forums would not apply. ==c

I was out racing all this weekend and it was close to 80*. Had 85-90* track temps. I was sweating like mad and got just a "little" sunburn even with SPF 100 suncreen on. (yes, they really do make SPF100. I think it's for the Goths and Gingers)
