In The Woods
I decided to check this area, more Maple with a nice size Beech, pic 7376 & 77 are the same tree in the same area, it's a nice size American Hophornbeam (Ironwood) usually they don't get this tall.

The two pics of the Beech are the same tree, I did some knocking on it, sounded like it still had some good wood.

Hey, Zap! Did you get nailed AGAIN last nite? I drove home in that crap at about 7:15. High winds, heavy rain & lightning bolts all around me. Pretty freaky! Hadda dodge one falling tree, & then hadda get out of the truck & MOVE one that had fallen across the road that I live on. My daughter showed up 10 minutes later & her boyfriend hadda move another one at the same spot. Old dead stuff, not too heavy, but long enough to go all the way across the road...8 - 10" diameter. Power never went out, tho. Got some water in the basement & Susan's mom lost the awning off her camper in North Adams, Ma. Hope you fared well...

I'm glad you didn't get hit real bad, we had some wind but nothing bad, I went leek picking. I was just putting this up,

I think this is for Sunday-Monday.

Weather folks indicated there might be another round for us this afternoon. Enough of a chance that I left the "Geezer Glide" in the garage...We DEFINITELY do not need any more rain. *sheeeesh* Enough already!

The rain we received the last two weeks, we needed real bad. I'm not sure what our biggest rainfall in one day was, the big rain went southeast of us to Vermont.

We've had a couple storms pass us again today. More popping up as the afternoon wears on. We don't need any more rain for a couple weeks here. Lots of flooding.

I'm glad the storms are missing you, the flooding sucks. It could be a tough day on Sunday in NYS.
