So I was sitting having my coffee and see a big black Mama walking out back...and two cubs following along. I couldn't get better pics...they are pretty quick.

Pictures are still good. Nice to see.

We are wondering because we've heard of nobody reporting sightings near us as of late. Last I knew was a year ago when a fellow saw a sow and cub while turkey hunting in April 2012.

That's pretty cool. Better put the garbage in lock-down if it isn't already.

Only seen one at my current home, was washing the truck about 30 feet from the edge of the road and had that feeling that I was being watched. I looked at the neighbors and didn't see anyone and kept washing, as I came to the back of the truck I looked up to see one staring at me on the road's yellow line. I moved closer to the house and she the opposite direction.

I'm the only guy on my road that gets the garbage picked up on Friday, all the rest use a different company that comes through on Wed, 2 or 3 times a year the whole road gets whacked by a bear making the rounds and trash is everywhere, except for in my yard :)

Wow!

I didn't see a single dead one on the way down to Wildwood last weekend.....in PA or NJ. Weird.....
I did see quite a few wild turkey foraging along the Garden State Parkway early in the morning though.....I was impressed how many turkeys I saw down here.

The turkeys are a nuisance. You can't convince me their excess has not affected the songbirds.

My dog trees the darn turkeys all the time. They eat all the apples, break branches on the apple trees, dig up the yard, etc.

Not unusual here to see thirty or more together. I drive from S Ontario to outside NYC all the time, and see turkeys the entire length of the drive, in great numbers. Judging by the number of ticks that are around, courtesy of the deer, these birds must be jingling. Finding lots of ticks in my garden and even yard for the first time, rather than just in the woods.

Ha ha that was awesome

My brother hit this one on his way to the Air Force base in Florida yesterday. Shook him up, said it took forever for the troopers to get there.

They were eating anything and everything today including our strawberries.

I had critters bothering me, but not so much now. Keep a couple or "real" dogs. I have the pet safe electric dog collars so the dog stay in our yard and are not a bother to others or critters in the woods. Turkey poop in the driveway is no longer a problem. No more ground hogs either. Lost our hunter cat, so now have some issues with squirrels Deer seem to stay away except when the apples drop, then they visit at night only. .
