Picked up one of these little gems for smaller branch cutting. The Farm Boss at 13 pounds wears out my back on small stuff. This one is easy to start and at 7 pounds is a featherweight. Should blow through the small stuff and not exhaust me in the process. With case, 12" bar, file, synthetic oil, extra chain...under $400. And if you need to climb into a tree for some limbing, one handed operation is a plus.

they are a beautiful little machine.......the M200T is even better, but it's WAY more pricey...
I got boned on one of these this past spring on Craigslist....luckily I didn't send the money so no real loss. Just found out an arborist buddy of mine just bought a new 200T and he said he'd sell me his 192 for $180.00. Comes with two extra chains and a case. I think I'll buy it as the old limbers I have (Stihl 015's) are heavy buggers....

I won't buy a little saw like this for $600 for what I needed. I looked at it. this should be a great tool for what I need it for. I like a big saw, but lugging that around and cleaning up a pile of smaller logs is a hassle.

Don't mention one hand operation!

I'm sure you'll love that saw - I'd like to have a top handle limber some day - enjoy! Cheers!

I got one not too long ago, you will love it. Its great for removing limbs and it sips through the fuel. I run it one handed lots but don't like doing so, sometimes you got to.

I like it's weight. That is a big plus. Ran it for 2 hours tonight and really enjoyed that time.

Had mine 4 yrs now , love & use it more than my others ( runtime )

Think your really going to like it , weight will spoil you

Cheers

One handed operation is fine in certain situations.....but you gotta be careful. When I'm up in a tree limbing, one handed is the only way you can cut most of the time.

I understand what he's saying. More dangerous in a kickback situation. Good not to get too cavalier and end up getting bit

Nice light weight saw !
Good for the back ;)

I feel it was a good value too. It really does cut just fine with that small motor. The 200T has a little more power but at $600, keep that one for the pros or the people with more disposable income. Other than the 201 which is more money for sure, this one is about the lightest guy on the block.

I saw your profile pic last year. You could probably one hand a 15 pound saw. Not me

Had my wee Echo top handle since late '81.Xmas/HS grad present from the parental units.Tough little sucker,it was my first saw.Not as fast as newer models but its practically bulletproof.Dont get used as much anymore but still starts 3-4 pulls cold,1 pull warm.No chain brake or even a hand guard (never had one, wasnt required then) but with a sharp lo profile chain it'll tackle 5"-6" White Oak or similar stuff no problem, you just gotta be patient.

I would not say the 192 is as quick to start from cold as the 290. once warm, she's easy to start. it's like a cute girl...maybe a little harder to catch, but once you got her, well worth the effort.
