Today's big firewood scores available here on CL:

One big round with a free Coke can!
free fwood.jpg

But that's not all! In a separate ad we have this tasty half cut stump, also free for the taking (stump only, do not take any of the other nice rounds in the yard):
free wood2.jpg
However, this one has an upgrade with a free Mountain Dew can. Note the fancy arrow indicating the need to compete the cut before removing the huge amount of firewood. Might only rock one chain finishing it. Then you can have fun splitting the burl.

Today only, all free on CL!

How kind of the CL poster.....they took care of all the branches, and left the easiest wood there for the lucky recipient!!==c:p
Looks like someone was hacking away at it with an axe (with NO LUCK AT ALL) in the second picture......look at the blue marks all over the stump, above your red arrow!

It'd be good stuff for burning, with all that burl and curl in it....but wheres the rest of the good stuff at? Tell them to supply the saw (their bar and chain) and you'll come over and do the work. And tell them also to pitch that modified corn syrup garbage (soda) and replace those beverages with BEER.......

From the leaves on the round it looks like the first one is a Ginko. Anyone know how Ginko burns? Just wondering

Wow! Good eye. I had not noticed that. Gingko has the same compounds in the bark as poison oak/ivy and gove you the same rash. I would not want to burn that stuff, as PO/PI smoke has the itch compounds in it that can get into your lungs !!!.

For that reason many city ordinances ban planting female gingko trees. The smell is likened to dog do, vomit, and an open sewer.

Notice how deep the face cut is as well. A good 60% into the wood before the hinge starts. I thought that someone's kids had crayoned the face cut afterward, but after a closer look I think you are right; they pinched the bar in there or burned it with a dull chain. Must be all the caffeine and super sweet fructose.

Gott'a love CL with all the great photo evidence of people's chainsaw skills.

Sweet count me out!

But its better than freeeeee! a 5 cent refundable Coke can comes with it!

Sadly this place is not like NJ for an endless supply of free wood, free delivered logs, and super wood finds.

Well, it looks like stump #2 with the Mtn. Dew can is still there on CL.

Today the ad was upgraded with this photo of ANOTHER TASTY FREE STUMP!!!!

free stump 2.jpg
No free soda can on this deal though.

The included soda can may be full; I think I can see some condensation on the side. You need to get over there quick, before it goes flat. Bring a straw; You don't want to drink a bee. !!!

I have done that! More than once too... I was stung on the roof on my mouth once after taking a swig. *cough* That hurt

Better check, U may need to be insured, to be allowed to take out that stump.

In this state if you are not insured, the homeowner is liable for any damage, including if I cut my leg off with my own chainsaw on their property. Reason why I have a large liability rider on my homeowner insurance policy (half a mil). Also why I do not hire or allow anyone to work here (other than family and friends) unless they are bonded/insured.

Sadly I have seen some BS stunts pulled regarding liability. True story: a guy on another forum had a PNW chainsaw GTG several years ago over toward the coast, and he got a truckload of oak logs for everyone to carve up during a weekend of fun and chainsawing insanity. I did not meet the person that pulled the stunt (turnout was large), but someone that was there went for a walk on their property and supposedly twisted their ankle. That supposedly led to a fall at work the following week and a severe back injury, and the next thing a large claim was made against the guy and his wife that hosted the GTG. Fortunately (or because of it, we are not sure) the guy's wife took out a large insurance rider on their homeowner insurance policy for the GTG. I mean, there were several hundreds of chainsaws there, and a lot of people there, so it was a prudent move. The insurance company settled for something in the 6 figure range. It was a complete scam for sure, and likely thought out and set up ahead of time. For that reason I have no such events here on my property, and I did not have any when I was living with my ex. We had many requests for off-roading, camping and chainsaw events there, as we had over 100 acres and access to about 50 square miles of off-roading.
