Heard the cage rattle with my best new coon bait in it that has been working great (sliced apples) Thought I got another one (they have been getting into everything around here)
And to my surprise.... bird1.jpg

They find a way out of my Hav-A-Heart every time.

Congrats.

Just looked at the pic.

I've caught about 6 over the years in the havahart. The young ones are easy, but the old ones are ornery as hell. Wear leather gloves and be careful.

Marshmallows and grape koolaid powder are awesome coon bait too. We caught 18 in 18 nights last year.

As a kid in WV, Dad showed me how to make box traps / figure 4 trip.
First thing I caught was a skunk.
Big learning experience
Bath in tomato juice & buried my clothes :p

My cousin and I had an older ski doo snowmobile when we were teens, what that skunk was doing out in the open field in the winter time Im not sure. Long story short the older sleds had several wheel dollies inside the web and I will give you one guess where that skunk wound up getting tangled up in.
But it was not our fault.....
