Looks really good!

I haven't even plugged my new stove in yet. Temperatures around here have been in the 90's and humid. I figured I would christen mine sometime in September or October.

Congratulations and good luck!!

Thanks do I get my secret decoder ring now, or does this just place me on the Pellet Pirate's watch list?

The straight lengths came in black but the paint was chipped during shipping so the guys repainted everything in the morning so it would match. They did not use any support straps because they felt the cathedral support mounted on the rafter and the 6" screws in the roof would take the majority of the weight. Should I put a couple on at the tee and midway up? the pipe is 8" from the wall
I can't even hear the room blower. I only know it's on because I feel the rush of air. Surface temperatures below.
1. Ceramic Cladding
2. Stove Pipe
3. Glass door
4. Fresh air intake

Hello

I would still recommend atleast one support strap in this case. If the stove is disconnected for service, then there would be undo pressure exerted on the venting that could cause damage to it.

The 4" diameter strap extends to 5-1/2" from the wall to the center of the pipe. There is however an extension to extend it another 5-1/2" max. So this would probably do it.

The last pic shows the extension install with the plumbers plate that I have done.
You can paint the plate and straps black before the install for good looks. I also recommend 2-1/2" wood screws to get the plate into the wall studs securely. Let me know if you need any of these parts.

I also like to use washers and lock washers on these support straps. It just makes a much more secure job!

looking good. the surge protector police will be along shortly to remind you of the dangers of not using one. ;)

It's on the floor next to the stove. 1000W SmartUPS with pure sine wave and ability to compensate for spikes and partial power loss. Should give me 2.5hrs back up. The manual said that the worst thing that can potentially cause the control board to die is a sudden loss of power.
Batman made a call to Commisioner Gordon for me. He owes me a favor for fixing his bat light. The surge protector police won't be bothering me anytime soon.==c

Thanks. I turned the swamp cooler on to 68::F and the stove to 86::F setpoint. That kept the indoor temp at 80 while I burned for 4hrs to get the excess paint burned off and check for leaks.

There is a shroud clamped around the tee in the pic below. Should it be taken off to put on the support bracket or left on?

That is interesting, You would not need the shroud with the support bracket. Therefore it should be taken off.

The stove arrived yesterday evening and nearly made me late for work waiting. The freight truck driver was leery about driving the narrow roads to my house so I met him at a nearby petrol station where, after inspecting it, he helped me load the stove into my vehicle.

Dealer: Rettinger Fireplace in NJ. I highly recommend Angie. She provides and excellent service
Installer: CBS Chimney Sweepers. Not only are the willing to come to the east mountains outside Albuquerque but they have a 'we'll work on any stove attitude.'
Piazzetta Parts provider and Selkirk DT master: Don2222. He's put up with my noob questions offline and still managed to keep his cool.
2400sq ft. ranch style house with flat roof and radiant heat. My intention is to focus on heating the main living space and master bedroom.

Hey good luck with the new stove. I have a Palazzetti a very close cousin to your stove and it's great. Great job with the install;)

Hey Phil, the literal translation for the name of your stove is cousin.:) Your stove and Lake Girl's is what inspired my search for this type of stove. Once I knew they existed it was only a matter of time before I'd have one of my own in the house.

Enjoy the efficiency also. My stove ran for more than a month longer this year, we also had an increase of 300 heating degree days and I still used less pellets than the previous season;lol

After seeing the Grintch's post: https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/the-day-i-have-been-waiting-for.110501/#post-1460834 I was itching to move up the time table. That's a really nice install and a workhorse of a stove Grintch.

I bought a Morso steel hearthpad, brought the stove in the house and put Sveva's clothes on (cladding). She looked neglected in the garage. I rate work difficulty by the number of beers consumed to finish. This was a 1 beer job. There's a gap in the rear on both sides between the majolica and steel. I tried to close the gap after leveling the unit but unfortunately the cladding sits on a welded steel bottom and I couldn't bend the steel very much without risking the weld's integrity. Actually I was being a chicken and didn't want to ruin a good thing. I'll square everything up once the pipe is installed.
Install date moved up to 6/18.

Looks like its been two winters since your Piazzetta install. We're considering the same model (great deal from a dealer who has a returned Sveva with the Majolica - only 10 hours of use!). Quick question - how warm does the cladding get? I'm guessing only the front glass gets really warm, but wanted to get a real life answer. Tiny kids are the reason for the question.

Majolica on the Elena gets warm but not hot like the glass and metal. With little folks, may want to put up temporary guard around the stove. Not as aesthetically pleasing but keeps little fingers safe.
