I am feeling the need to get more wood, but all my sheds are still full! Really was surprised how much less wood I have used this winter, and we were toasty! Love this stove. Tim

Don't resist the urge . . . you never know . . . the Ice Age may strike this year and you'll be humanity's savior by being the one guy with enough wood to keep Columbia River Gorge warm . . . plus, as long as you have the room, it never hurts to have more wood on hand for future years . . . although you may get a reputation in town as being "that neighbor who has all the wood piles."

Tim, many of us have found we burn a lot less wood with new heaters. We cut our wood needs in half or more with the Woodstock Fireview.

Wished you live closer to me... I would take some of that wood off your hands.. ;)

Curious to see how much less wood I will burn this year, but still stocking up more and more everyday

Words of encouragement.
Just what I needed.
Yeah, when are you gonna join us in the 21st century? You're not even in the last decade of the last century with the old Ashley warhorse. I know you like processing wood but that's taking it too far. ;)

I know, it's hard to part with old stoves that we have history with. I'm selling my BIL the Fv for upstairs, his Resolute III is going downstairs and the trusty old '85 Englander 24 is coming back home. Thinking maybe I'll use it as a garage stove one day. >>

Ouch.>>
Probably next spring. The financial situation took a left turn in the middle of my new stove planning.
Just one more winter...........ugh.
Hey, the Ashley's only 28 yrs. young. Gooder as new.:p

Sorry to hear about the bad turn Dave. Hope things recover quickly.

That's what I've heard from many sources too, an efficient EPA stove is about twice as efficient as an older stove.

Crank-up a fire pit, sit back, drink a beer, relax and Burn some wood!...

Yes, that's not uncommon. We burn half of what we burned in the old Majestic insert too.
