It's only a 5 or six hour drive for me...

If thats close to you, rent a truck, that osage burns like 3 cords of some of the other hardwoods.

Wish I didn't have so many irons in the fire. Have burned a bit, love the stuff.

Yep. know the feeling. It all will get better.:)

Osagebow - if I wasn't traveling for the next few days I'd be interested in going in on that with you! As it is I'll have to pass. Hopefully someone will make use of this...

Osagebow, if you want some more osage for bows I have a good amount of osage on my farm. I don't know where you are in the valley, but if you are ever headed to Richmond on 64 I am really convenient.

here sits my truck with a busted radiator...anyone bite on this I might be able to help out for a log for staves!

Damm, if I was closer I'd bring the truck/trailer down and make a weekend of it with ya! I'd even rip a log or two down with the big saw for bow staves and axe handles!!

Just too much on the cooker for me to come down right now. Think you can talk the guy into waiting til next month? I'd be able to come down then!

No problem, just drop me a PM. I am 10 mins. east of C-ville.

I have one gigantic sprawling osage I have always wanted to cut a piece off of and make a self bow so maybe I can pick your brain if you did come. I hunt with a compound but I also have an old 50# recurve that someone gave me that I shoot for fun.
