Got the S10 patched together, and saw a guy down the road had dropped a big red oak. He had started to cut the rounds up big. Lotta burners here, so I tend to jump on stuff like this.

"Sure you can have it. How are you gonna load those?"
Made a "stepladder" of rounds up to the tailgate, rolled 'em right up. Cut up the rest and got a decent 3 load score.

cool little $15 pickaroon from garage sale. Useless with these rounds, but kids use it on small stuff

The haul minus the brush and poles.

Thats a cantdog, not a pickaroon.

What kind of dog is that? Blue heeler/australian cattle dog mix?

Good thinking.

Nice Camouflage dog & Cant hook & score

Nice score Osage. I have an s/10 also. I load it up to the gills also.
I hope the springs don't pop someday.

The step up is a good way to work and not get a hernia. Especially for the ones like you have pictured. The round ones can be done this way or rolled up a plank. That old cant hook you have could come in handy for that. Looks like a home made job but good. If you could add something for a toe on that to grab into the wood it will work even better. Expand the picture below to see what the toe looks like on this cant hook. I'll bet you could make something very easy.

yep. Mines a 97 and just 90k on it. Just put a clutch in it.
I think I've replaced everything. she's hauled a lot of firewood. I'll keep it until there's no more breath in her._g

My ranger is a 90. The springs are weak, real weak it squats from way less than it should. But i still get way better mileage than the old k10. I almost have 300k miles on mine. SOme of yall must only drive a few miles to get wood to only have 90k on a 97 model!! Id love to have that truck as a DD!!

Luckily we dont have inspections here. But i still have replaced a bunch of stuff on mine and keep it servicable!

That was when he was still a puppy. I never thought training a dog would be as easy as it has been with him. I just wish I had a bunch of sheep I could teach him to herd with !!!

Oh mine is the third of 4 vehicles!! if i drove ir regularly for the last 4 years i would have well in excess of 300k miles!!! Mine is only drive on wood trips or things that need a truck these days. I took the other hand me down car as a DD to save on gas.

Had mine about 12 years or so now as well. But i drove it hard untill about 4 ago.

My 94 has 136K - Not too bad. My wife just asked if it was old enough to get classic plates to dodge the inspection ;lol
in VA it's supposed to be for "Show vehicles". JB welded sideview mirror may D-Q me on that one.

Nice haul! I can't believe you got a dog as part of that load!

hahaha...didn't notice till i got home, she blended right in!

This is a Pitbull / Greyhound ;)

Yep - mine looks a lot like that from the front. They tried out west to make them hog dogs but they tend to be too sweet. Mine ran down a baby bunny and tried to play with it.;lol

That is a fabulous and incredibly well camouflaged dog you've got there, or you are the most skilled chainsaw sculptor in all the land!!

nice score, way to hurry up and get it before the next guy.......we've been busy cutting a huge blue spruce down for a guy, lots of good campfire wood in that tree, as well as a 16' butt log that's gonna get milled for wood that I will use when I build the woodshed next year!!
