About a year ago I purchased a new Woodstock Progress Hybrid stove, but only had it installed in May of this year. Just for the heck of it I contacted Woodstock to see if there were any issues I should be aware of before I fire her up this fall. Woodstock told me that there had been several significant improvements made to the catalytic combustor and the cook top and that they would ship me out replacements immediately at no cost to me. Now in my book, that is great customer service and represents a company that stands behind its products. WELL DONE WOODSTOCK :)

I'm sure there are other wood stove companies with good customer service, but I'm just blown away by the folks at Woodstock...........It just doesn't get any better.

This may be so . . . but I cannot recall hearing of any wood stove company that has hosted open houses with a free BBQ and hard cider (and beer). :) The real perk though was seeing where and how the stoves get put together and meeting some of the people who work at the company building stoves, selling stoves, answering questions, etc.

You are absolutely correct. A trip to Woodstock is well worth the effort...

I too am blown away with their customer service they were always a phone call away throughout my install with tips and advice, and throughout the burning season with help and answers to questions. I would love to take a trip up north to visit them one day.

If you visit them, you will not be disappointed.

I do not have a Woodstock, but I am super impressed with the stories I hear on this forum of the way they take care of their customers. Not to mention their products seem pretty bullet proof. I'm really hoping they have an open house this year.

Dave, I can assure you the customer service will continue. They are simply amazing and this is what makes a good company great. My hat is off to Tom and his great team.

You can bet that when the time comes for my next stove, Woodstock will be at the top of the list........

Well, unless you've experienced the customer service provided by every member of the wood stove industry, I'd suggest this statement is a bit presumptuous. I understand you're very pleased with Woodstock...how many others do you have consumer experience with?

That's my opinion and I stand by it. If you have a different opinion based on actual experience, why don't you share it with us.

I haven't owned a stove from every manufacturer in the business, so I can't say.

Consider what was said:

You don't have to have owned a stove from every manufacturer in the business to know that NO other manufacturer in the business is ever likely to do this, absent an actual complaint or warranty claim by a customer. It is virtually unprecedented in this business, or in any other, for that matter.

So you are saying that unless I have owned every stove manufactured today, I can not voice my opinion about who has the best customer service? And I suppose you have never made a statement about a product or service you think is the best (like perhaps a family member's recipe for apple pie, or something your mom makes very well)? I was stating an opinion, my opinion, and I'm sorry that does not sit well with you. Lets move on..............

Moving on.
