Whatever it takes, man. I wouldn't hesitate.

Woke up to 66° on here and thought about it. Decided to close the windows and put on a sweatshirt instead.

I probably could of just put on a sweater or ran the furnace for a couple minutes but I just wanted to be able to say I've burned my stove every month of the year. I don't think I've ever had a fire in July. Crazy weather we are having here, last week it was in the 90's.

Uh, oh. I think I read somewhere that no part of your stove should be glowing red! ;)

It was down close to 60 here. No fire. I have to conserve my dry wood. ;lol

Might fire up the pit outside, though. I scrounged some bamboo tiki torch sticks. I picked up a few wicks, emptied a few beer bottles and got some citronella fuel. I'll put some PVC tubes in the ground and try 'em out tonight.

I don't even have it back in yet, but I can't wait to fire up the 'stone again this year!

Jeff, I'm constantly amazed at how much warmer you report down there compared to further north. But MI is like that with some big variances sometimes. Looks like our high here was 65. We've been down in the 50's at night with one night in the 40's. Funny though that our son was up by Grand Marias and one day their high was 55. The next day we were cooler than they were. Coming from PA they had been roasting but with a strong wind and temperatures in the low 50's daytime they were about frozen. That is why one never comes to northern MI in the summer without bringing a few pieces of winter clothing.

Oh, it was 48 outside, 66 inside. Up to 63 today, breezy, showers, sunny, cloudy. Typical October day.

Only in the 50's yesterday, looks to be the same today so I built a small fire to take the chill out of the house.
We almost touched off the Liberty, we had about three nights in the mid 40's & one about 40, we held off.

I did see Hibbing had a Frost Advisory tonight.

I thought about it, but the cold weather actually felt good to me. Spent a good part of the day bucking up and moving a big fallen oak in my woods that I normally wouldn't
have touched until cool temps come in the fall.

Got down into the lower 40's upper 30's over the weekend, some areas of MN was even under a frost advisory. I need to get into the woods and start cutting or the propain will be flowing this year. Been a very awkward year with new baby in May, along with cold and snow until June, then rain through most of June, then hot and humid in July with enough blood suckers to make it miserable. Hopefully the chain saws will start so I can get some work done.

Well, I did it! Cloudy and rainy all day yesterday. When the wife asked if we could have a fire, my first thought was 'heck no! Are you crazy? It's July!!!!' Then I looked at the thermo and it said 66 in the house at 8:00 pm. With a low of 50 last night, I guess it wasn't so crazy after all. House stayed at 72 all night and wife was happy!

I don't care what month it is, if it's 66 in here at 8 PM I'm probably going to be firing up! :ZZZ

Have fired the Italian three times. Forties for lows and Saturday was a windy 69 for a high. House was down to 63. Farmers are very nervous with the crops being behind.

You guys are wierd. I have the winders open and fans blowin. gettin down into the 50's at night. I love it.

I'm beginning to wonder of I'm going to get any ripe tomatoes this year...
I just talked with a guy who put his first garden in at their newer home, it did not sound good.

The only thing burning here is my chicken on the grill...got distracted on a phone call in the house Doh!

It was 85 today, 60`s at night but over the weekend, I asked if we should light the stove to take the chill out, I got out of the shower to find a candle in the firebox and my hubby hysterical on the sofa at his antics :)

My error. I thought your 66 was outside!

Hah! I DID take a photo of it to post but never got around to it this weekend. We just had the sweep out so the firebox is totally clean of ash (still have to clean the glass though, that's last season's grime on it) Enjoy!!

I like to sleep out in the air, with no covers. If I'm doing that, it's gotta be at least 78 in the bedroom or I wake up cold.
But I do know some weirdos who need a fan blowing on them as they sleep, 365 days a year. :p;) Maybe they were buried alive in a previous incarnation.

Zap - I just re-read your post and it sunk in that you were talking about a pic of me getting out of the showern NOT the candle - believe me, the candle in the firebox is WAY better :)
