I had 2 big red oaks dropped in late May.

Finally starting to make some progress.

I saw this cool bug when I first got started today never saw one before I guess they are called eyed click beetles.

I threw together another log rack.

Split

Stacked

And shared a beer with the puppy.

Very nice!

Excellent Chad but I do hope you do not intend to burn that next winter.

This is for 2014-2015 hopefully it is dry enough by then. I checked it with my meter and its between 36-38% now. I wanted a reference point so I can keep a eye on its progress.

Oh that Red Oak. Wait and wait some more. Nice heat though.

If I can score anything other than oak I will let all this stuff sit for 3 years unfortunately all the trees in my yard that need to come down in the immediate future are all oak and free wood goes FAST around here.

Nice job
Will surely be ready for 15/16 winter.
Might be worth the wait too ;)

Chad, any man that shares his beer with his dog is a good man. Man and dog in front of a fire on a cold winters day. Doesn't get too much better than that.

Nice stacks. Preparing for the future is the way to go.

solid pics. that beer looked good.

nice wood racks too.

Nice splitting setup there - oak sure is the stuff for burners that look ahead a good bit. That big rack must hold quite a lot of wood, eh?

I saw one of those here recently. Cool fake eyes telling the predators "I'm watching you. ;lol
And shared a beer with the puppy.
Geez, how many did he have? He can barely keep his eyes open! ;lol You'll need to draw some fake eyes on him! ==c

Nice Job, nice setup. A C

I see some maple, cut it small and stack single row, in sun and wind, it will season faster then most say...gl

Thanks for the comments
