Wife's boss has offered me the wood when he has trees cut at office. Will have them bucked to what I want, I know I'd almost rather buck myself. Anyway all I have to do I. Get it.

This is the ornamental planting tree. Is it worth it for the wood? I'm sure it will dry fast.

I cut one last summer. It was oozing water when split, but was dry by fall. Burns great, seemed heavy when dry. I'm guessing it throws heat close to Ash, but never burned a full load. The split wood looks cool when dry. I still have to take the other half of that two-trunker down but it's not much wood. Wish I had more of that stuff!

There is like 3 of these that are triple trunked and about 8-10"s each an then a big one I think is double trunk and about 14"s or so on diameter. There is a truckload in that big tree alone, a full size truck.

Birch can be very good or a waste of time. Birch sometimes rots from within. If it does its a waste of time to take.

Well I won't take it if its written on the inside.

I got some last year and some was rotten some wasn't. The only issue was it was a witch to split. Very stringy.

I did a bit of looking around online and from what I can see it has between 24-26.8 million btus per cord. I would love to have some of that!

That, my good man, is a score right there; Grab it!

A few pieces toward the bottom of mine needed to have the punk split away but from there on up, it was solid. It didn't split too bad by hand for me....
