haven't been around much. Just thought i'd stop in and say hi. My other thread was deleted so I'll keep this one simple

Whats new?

Cut, split, stack repeat. Not sure why July was so flippn' hot you'd melt but August is acting like October but with most of the Sandy trees stacked now, I'm ready. If it wasn't so humid, the stove would be lit. I'm having a hard time convincing the hubby though. He tells me that even though it is only 58 outside, it's still August and it's against the rules of nature to fire up the stove in the summertime ;)

Did you fill up all those bins you came down to buy? I need to run over and get a few more.

Hey sean. Yup, I sure! They work great for transporting them up to the house. I got them full of seasoned wood ready to burn. One has some leftover slabwood all the other stuff is out on pallets out back. I was able to score a couple Ropak lids from work that they were throwing out and they work perfect to keep the elements off them. I have one or two empty, but am headed down south to pick up some wood from a buddies farm soon.

Backwoods became a "fixture."

We had to add a new category to Scotty Overkill's hoarder's club, for some idiot who stacked wood higher than his house.

People are still debating whether firefighterjake should keep his Honda or his Subara.

Adios Pantalones hit himself in the head with an axe, twice inside of two minutes, but this inspired him to create some new pottery.

Master Mech is still helping us all select and repair equipment.

Two boats blew up, spectacularly.

Big Redd is still arguing with the east coast boys about skip chain, and who has harder "wood".

The leaves are turning, and folks are starting to talk about Maple Syrup again.

We've debating buying vs. building campers.

We learned mustash29 actually has no facial hair.

Scotty Overkill built a kick-ass wood hauling wheelbarrow, but his wife stole it.

smokinj has become a Cub Cadet owner and mechanic.

We all watched a video of some Polack's building a lego stove.

MasterMech's neighbors skipped town, took their rock wall with them, and left their dog alone in the house.

Pallet Pete did some exquisite back yard remodeling. His village committee is speechless.

lumbering on re-invented mathematics.

We debated how to answer the spouse's, "don't we have enough wood?"

I'm still doling out mostly incorrect advice, but have yet to be censored for it.

... and that's just last week!

Pretty much sums it up.... Used my best Walter Cronkite voiceover and got a odd stare with that one...:)

Hah! That just made me laugh as while I read all of those threads, participated in a few too, I don't think I would have stated it so eloquently...BRILLIANT!

Nice job, Joful. Very funny stuff. You are now the recording secretary of the nut-hut.

Nice day in the east today!
Was beautiful all day with a 14mph dry breeze that was so perfect you could hear the wood checking.

Oh great... like I need a reason to spend more time here.
We only need a monthly report. We need the laughs in case this is one long and cold winter.
