I have been shopping around on the internet here for central MA and I cant find any great prices.....is it me or have high quality wood pellets in this area of the country prices gone high? the cheapest i have found vermonts was 296 a ton, I dont know it just seems like there are no deals out there......anyone have any good deals that they would care to share....

How about Bernardston Farmers Supply? Their prices aren't what I'd call cheap but, just to try 'em, I bought a ton of Ambiance from them last year for a reasonable price. At the time I think they had a greater variety on hand than they listed on their web site. Not sure what they have now and they're a little too far away for me to use regularly, but you could give them a call.

Try pelletsdirect in Uxbridge or Robbins in Oxford. We have never had cheap pellets in the three years I have been burning when you look at other areas of the country.

well, I know of quite a lot of folks selling pellets in central MA. A "good deal" is subjective....with all due respect, could it be possibly that you *might* have an unreasonable idea of what quality pellets SHOULD cost?

Well I'm new to this but when I see one place selling LG's for 296 then another place for 274 it just seems like a big difference, what should I be paying for a high quality pellet per ton? Prices just are all over the place around here do you get what I'm sayin.....I don't know what I should get....go cheapest or go big

Or how far or how many trips to get them in. Fuel at $4 a gallon counts up too!

Or how many 30 packs can you buy with the savings;)

True when you put it in that perspective
So weigh out what you get for the price...

Delivery? Delivery in to your garage or perfect placement on the property? Are the people you you are buying from living within your community? Personally, I'd rather pay an extra $78 per season to support a local business.

very good people over there.

I'm going to be selling pellets once the season hits, I will be charging close to $300 a ton or $6+ dollars a bag, not that I'm greedy but there has to be something in it for the effort I'm going to put forward. at $10 or $20 per ton profit there isn't much incentive for me to want to get into it....but I need pellets for my store so there you go.

talking beer! uh-oh....mods are probs looking to kill yet another beer thread....the only way to resuscitate it is to put things in that the mods never wanna delete......lets see....

Obama Love! Gore is a god! yay! Hemp!

There....that should ensure the threads survival.....;)

It's funny how pellets and beer seem to go together on the forum. In a strange coincidence, a lot of the pellets hauled out of here are hauled by Budweiser trucks. Before you ask, yes their trailers are empty before they arrive. Apparently Maine is an importer of beer and exporter of pellets.
