You didn't lose any through that hole I hope;)
99-04? model seen a bit of salt and not many washes - it rivals the "VENTS" in my 74's cab;lol
I saw one down here this summer with the rockers gone and told the GF - that's why I will never move back north, and its just too damn cold for too long

yeah, I was admiring all the body cancer in that truck as well, Happy I do not live in a "salt" state. I was visiting in Ohio a number of years ago and could not believe my eyes on how rusted out newer vehicles were

It's not just the salt, it's the junk Chinese metal they use to build cars and trucks nowadays.
I've got a 97 GMC 2500 and it don't have a pinhole in it, anywhere......and they salt the living chit out of the roads 'round here from late November clear through April........

yup 1999 POS..its my dads truck...i told him to wash it or it will rust..im smart i drive a ford..lol

Wow can't believe the rust. Without rust that truck would bring an easy 5 grand down here if its anything more than regular cab. Of course without the rust!!

The two burning questions are; Why is it I can't find free wood like this? And... Why do pickup trucks rust more than any other vehicle?

Nice load, BTW.

Just like my grandfather's 92 K3500 diesel SRW never washed(maybe once in the first few months) and a plow truck.
At his funeral noticed the shock mounts had rusted off the frame and could see daylight through the Diamond(not cheap) plow blade - that was back in 06 and he hadn't driven for ~4yrs.
Salt air near an ocean/marsh and the road sand&salt do a number on the body and under carriage of vehicles that are neglected(read rode hard and put up wet).

Came home one day and the GF had washed Ole Blue - asked how she had gotten the sides of the hood she could reach so clean...."I used that green thing(scotchbrite) for the pans"....well there wasn't much clearcoat left anyways so I let go;) Called it my mildew racing stripe:)

Truck is rusting bad ..probably due to the high salt content in Mich during the winter months.. Oh great score !

Three loads like that must be around a cord, ya think?
