An alternate title might be, "It's been a good week on Craigslist."

This is not typical, but I acquired all three of these for cheap in the last 96 hours. They all run, although the two larger ones need a bit of attention. The 200T only has a few hours on it.

Trouble is, I rationalized buying them by noting that they could each be re-sold at a healthy profit. After all, I don't have any personal need for an arsenal like this. But now I'm grappling with the unanticipated fact that if I sell them, I won't have them anymore...

Oh and if you wanna sell that 200T, I'm your man!;)

Lemmee put it this way: the 064 was the same price as the 55R, the 200T was six times the price of the 064, and I spent $400 total.

Tragically I missed out on a picture-perfect 020AVT, with case, original bar and scabbard, advertised in Monroeville this past Sunday morning for $25.

I make that $50 - $50 - and $300, really nice haul Jon.

Be strong my son....Its easy acquiring them, not so much parting with them

Just 6 months ago I owned 3 saws & 1 pole saw that see regular duty....Fast forward to the present & its now 10 (7 runners,3 unfinished projects) & 1 more that should be arriving next week.

And I'm not done yet...... !!!

Jon you got a hell of a nice nbuy on all three of them.....and that IS tragic that you missed that 020AVT!! THAT WAS AN ABSOLUTE STEAL AT THAT PRICE!!

It was just over 2 months ago that I had one saw. Now I have seven. At most I need two. I will definitely be selling some. The consolation is that I will make enough on the ones I sell to pay for the ones I keep, and end up with 2 or 3 nice saws that didn't on balance cost me anything.

Good deal! I hear you on the difficulties of letting them go.......

Cheers!

I wish I had copied the picture before the ad was taken down. It looked like someone had used it for about 15 minutes on the day they bought it new, put it away and never touched it again. The original bar was pristine. The cute little scabbard was perfect. The plastic carrying case was sterile and shiny, And I just didn't see it soon enough. Was described as not running, but I can't imagine it would've taken longer than a few minutes to get it going.

The question is becoming, though: which to sell? I started out with a Husky 350, which I still like a lot. I wanted something bigger to go with it, and have been thinking that would be the MS361 I got a few weeks ago. I figured that would be it. But I could just keep these three, and sell everything else... (nailbiting)...

I climbed with a few of those Scotty, you know the deal... Guy I worked for years ago had like 4-5 of them.. Little power house and run a long time on a tank of fuel!

I'd sell that 200T for a healthy profit (you'll get more than you spent for all 3.....) since it's not that useful for firewood cutting. To an arborist however, they are gold. Sell the 55 Rancher. They are an excellent saw for medium sized firewood. You mentioned you had an MS361? That'd be my mid-size keeper. Keep the 350 for a smaller saw.

Under no circumstances are you to sell that 064. Unless you're sending it to me that is. ;) Barely heavier than the 046/MS460 but a bunch more grunt. That thing will eat 24"+ trunks for breakfast.

Unless you're collecting, I wouldn't be upset over that 020AVT. They ain't got nuthin' on a 200T. ;)

Oh and BTW: A running 064 for $50? YOU SUCK! :p

No he needs to sell the 064 to me!==c

Sweet dealin Jon.

If it's any consolation, it's missing about a hundred bucks worth of parts -- air filter assembly and cover, brake handle, Stihl nameplate. But it did come with a nice 24" replaceable-nose bar and chain.

Unless your gonna climb i'd sell the 200 t and make some money to fix up the 064

I don't climb, but this 200t is so light and zippy that it makes me want to.

If last season is any guide, I'll only be burning about 2 cords a winter and much of that will have been bucked by tree services before I get to it. I'd probably have reason to pull out the 064 less than once a year. As much affection as I have for excellent tools, I don't like seeing them atrophy on shelves.

No, wait, I have eight. Do I get an award for not even being able to count my saws?

6 months ago I had two, now I have 9 that run as good as new (some better then new). I'm sitting here trying to decide which ones to sell and can only pick out two that I don't want to keep.
