Hey NYLumberjack914. Welcome to Hearth.com and the Wood Shed man. Need any help just ask right out loud in any of the threads. People here are great and they will help. The picture thing can be a little tricky at first. I think there is a sticky at the top of the forum to help you along. Or that guy by the name of Backwoods Savage, AKA Sav., AKA Dennis, AKA B.S. (I won't say anything about his initials. Ahem.) AKA .........

Its a start! hey, I like it. Its better than my shed (still don't have one yet!), that's next spring and summer's project. I like the use of the clear plastic corrugated sheets over your stacks, Lumberjack! Maybe a drywall screw with a washer every couple of feet to anchor that stuff to the top of the stack, that would help keep it in place. or some rope to tie it to the stacks. The windy season is a 'comin! Welcome to the forums!

What's the plywood for?

Lumberjack. I bought several of those panels last year and cut them to fit and enclosed my covered porch with them. Tired of shoveling and sweeping the porch off. And my wood is under the deck of it! Priorities of keeping that dry!!!!! In the spring I numbered them before I took them down and stored them in a safe place. I will reuse them for many, many years. They worked great! At first I predrilled the holes before I screwed them to the 1x3 framing, then I realized you can just drive the screw through them. I think I spent two hundred and some dollars to enclose the whole porch. Worth every penny. All winter long I went out there and could enjoy the porch more often the whole winter.

My point of that ramble is you may be able to put a simple frame up with some inexpensive wood or free pallet wood and then use the plastic to enclose the sides and you can get solar gain from the sun with that stuff. Nice. I like your shed. Whatever keeps your wood dry! Happy burning and welcome again.

I used some roof nails that came with a washer. I nailed them in every 5 inches apart. I'm also thinking about some clear PVC panels just in case.

Better than mine too, I still use tin, and old pontoon boat decking that we tear off, concrete blocks and and some rope to keep it in place. Heck some of the plywood decking is even pretty, it still has the carpet glued to it.
One of them metal carports is my next move 12 x 21 for $695 installed.

Hey, NYLumberjack, welcome to the forum. Or, as I like to call it, The Nut Hut. I like the idea of those pallets being put to good use. You'll probably get a half cord between the two.

I see we are close in proximity to one another. Getting kinda cold tonight.

That's a great price on the carport. I was thinking of getting the soft covered hoop version, but the wind up here would blow it apart. Don't know if I need a permit for a carport, but the idea is tempting.
