With temperatures going down to around 40, couldn't resist firing up the liberty . I'm just like a little kid on Christmas morning==c

Nice. I can't wait to light up. Trying to be patient as I don't have an overly large wood pile this year.

Shouldn't there be a dog or cat passed out on the floor in front of the stove?

Hey, stop rushing winter and the cold weather. I have 2 more weeks at the shore before I head to the mountains and my wood burner.

I'm looking forward to that nip in the air, and (wait for it, WAIT FOR IT).........LOTS OF SNOW!!!!!![/quote]
Me too me too==c. As for the shore, I have absolutely no desire or will ever have any desire to go to any beach again. If I want to see water, I just walk out my front door and across the road and look at New Creek. I am very satisfied right here in the WV mountains(well actually I live in the valley).

I like going to the shore once a year, for a week, with the family. The kids and wife love it there. I like it OK, but I'd much rather be in the mountains. To me, a nice week-long vacay would be a trip to the mountains of Alaska in autumn.....that'd be as close to heaven on earth as I think I could get......==c

I love the mountains, forests, rivers and streams of Tennessee, but nothing on earth can match the sheer magnitude and power of the ocean. I guess it all depends on what you are use to. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm looking forward to first fire. It's probably 3-4 weeks out though. I need to stop by and pick up a box of Super Cedars from Thomas. The box I bought in 2010 is getting low. It would've lasted longer but I've given quite a few away to friends and family.

Same here but with one miner change. Instead of going in the fall I want to go smack dab in the middle of winter_g

I lit off a small fire today, not that it was really needed, but it helped burn down the mound of pistachio shells that had accumulated over the summer.

Go for it. Report back. ;lol

Scotty, that's a very handsome setup you got there. I can see why you would be eager to fire her up. :)

Yes, I sure have BB. Thanks for the compliments guys.
I just walked in there to look at the fire and mum is passed out on the couch.....kids are all heaped up right beside her. That makes all the work worthwhile.....

Funny ,I swept up acorns off the deck and threw some in the stove for the heck of it, lots of acorns this year

Odd since you like it 80-90 in the house during the winter. ;lol I'm not sure you'll find those temps on your visit. ;)
