Feeling the Heat

Can anyone recommend a wireless thermostat?

Our second floor is one heating zone. The thermostat is in the master bedroom which we keep a 60 degrees at night while sleeping.

We will have a newborn across the hall and want to keep it warm in there.

I want to put the sensor in the baby's room to keep the temp constant, and close the vents in the unused rooms and most of the vents in the master.

Any ideas?

Oil filled radiant portable electric heater? It will cover the spread between the 60 degrees you keep the master bedroom at and the temp you want the baby's room to be. Might be relatively cheap to run depending on whether your primary is gas, propane or oil. Assuming you heat with wood during the day.

I've never heard of wireless but none the less, if it goes in the babies room and you turn it to 70 degrees, wouldn't your master bedroom go up to 70 degrees as well? If so, you are going about it the wrong way.....I think...gl
