$209 Stove Chow or FSU.... c'mon guys, you're KILLING me!

I agree...Dutchess county SUCKS for premium pellets. I did a pre season order with WP.COM. Turmans pellets available from a stove shop in Stone Ridge, Ulster county. and Okies available at a shop in Croton on Hudoson. HAMERS HOT ONES available by ordering directly with them and they deliver right to your door!

damn. last year was my first year with a pellet stove and i burned 'sets all winter. didn't know how spoiled i was. should i just suck it up and stock up on presto (i'm in highland, close to highland and newburgh lowes) or is it worth getting together with a few of you guys on a truckload of something?
Set's are coming, sit tight.

Yes - All County on Rt 9 - think they might deliver for free - which might take some of the sting out of a lower quality pellet - but why bother. I have no hope of Somersets making it up Lowes this year - or atleast I am afraid to hold out. I will call Agway today - though I don't know if they deliver. Not sure what the TSC stores are stocking either
where exactly is All County located on route 9?

Its down by railroad salvage, just past N&S Supply, on the left. I think the road is old Rt.9. Its on the north side of Fishkill.

THANKS! What is the full name of the business?

Phil,
Thanks for your email. It looks like you may be close to Poughkeepsie if so the Lowes store there will be getting a couple of shipments this week. Check with the store to see when they might receive these shipments.
Thanks and have a good day

Scratch the GAP's at Tri-County Coal in Carmel. I was in today and she told me that GAP is way behind on delivery commitments and they are not sure they will ever get any.
They are not selling loose bags until the first weekend of October, tons only right now.
PS Good choice with the Barefoots, nice and hot, ash was not an issue at all. I burned GAP's last year, will either go Energex or Barefoot, trying to mentally justify the high prices.....

There was a rumor that been floating that GAP bellied up.So I've been asking around. No one knew much. Sorry they can't deliver, But good to hear they haven't gone under.

Maybe they are fixin things? Lots of complaints of high ash last season.

The way the distributor (Tri-County) was talking, it was pretty much up in the air whether or not they would ever get a delivery. Makes sense if GAP is DOA.
Burned ok for me last year....

gah! pok got 'sets this morning and sold out already. this is the only day in the last two weeks that i didn't call in the morning. you guys are fast!

I was there about 2 hours ago and bought 2 tons to be picked up.....at least I hope I did!
Got 2 tons of Somersets at Lowes of Poughkeepsie. The clerk told me today they sold 88 tons this week (40 to one business??) and actually oversold by 10 tons. She told me that they have nothing but Green Team in stock and are unsure when they will get another delivery! DSC01626.JPG

Anyone know where I can get a Ford truck, trailer and 2 tons of Somersets for cheap? Nice Haul>>

Were they charging $ 274 / ton for "premium pellet " like are are with Greene Teams?

Greene Teams were $274/ton and the only thing they had in stock. Everything else they have stocked this year :presto-Logs, Green Supreme, Nature's Own and SOMERSET's have been $209/ton.

Lowes at least up my way (Binghamton NY) has two prices, one for standard pellets and one for premium. Presto-logs are premium and were $282/ton. Timber Heat were the standard at $4.19 per bag when you buy a ton. Per bag price was $4.39. I'd make sure that this is not the case for any of the other Lowes in NYS and not assume that just because they have several brands on the ground that they are all priced the same.
I got my presto-logs at lowes in long island for 209 a ton so far all the pellets I bought there were the same price.

Had 5 tons of Somersets delivered from Lowes Poughkeepsie on Wednesday. Called me in the morning with delivery time and said they were sending somersets.
