I just bought a home that has a JØTUL C 450 KENNEBEC wood stove insert (double door version)

I had it cleaned and I used it for the first time last night to make sure everything was in proper working order. Everything worked great except for the Blower. It was extremely loud - to the point where I shut it off. The Blower sounds like a very loud hair dryer max setting.

Is this normal? Does anyone have experience with this model with the blower installed? I contacted the previous owner of the house and he said he never had any issues but it was running 24/7 so maybe he didnt notice anything louder. I am just trying to figure out if I should replace the blower, but I do not want to waste the money if this is normal operation.

Thanks to anyone that can assist with this.

Did this start AFTER you cleaned the blower? Those blowers make noise but shouldn't be THAT loud. Make sure it's seated correctly & there's nothing interfering with the vanes. It should be audible, but not overly so...

see if you can find a show room that has one, and have them turn it on for you before you buy one noise can be tricky from a perception stand point over the www.

Is this on low or high speed? On low speed it should be quite reasonable.

Low. I think it needs to be cleaned out. I removed the ashlip and it appears it has not been cleaned in awhile. How do I remove teh ashlip extension and the blower? I looked online and it looked like there was a few spring clips but no screws? I tugged on it but it didnt go anywhere.

Does anyone have any insight on a easy way to remove the blower and/or ashlip extension
