Hi, I need help. Please, I have a 35ish yr. old Morso wood stove that worked great. We haven't used it in years but I wanted to know if anyone has any input on pellet baskets for wood stoves. T.Y. in advance, MMM

Never tried one, mostly because the comments I've read on them in the past are "ok" at best. In general, I remember people saying "yes, they worked" but not awesome and they were a pain in the rear to refill if the stove wasn't cold.

Here are a few links to old threads on the subject that might interest you.

instead of pellets why not use the compressed bricks , generally run about the same price pound for pound.

I've never heard anyone report being happy with the results of burning pellets in a wood stove. Rick

Yep, those bricks are basically really big pellets.

I wish they were a little cheaper. They put out great heat! Where I live some decent bricks go on sale every fall for roughly $2.79 for a box of 9. I normally put 2-3 in my stove. NEarly as cheap as firewood (if you buy it) for those who have casual fires.
