You started the same thread on 2 different days? One on Mon and one on Tues...

I was hoping someone could help me I have an Englander Pellet stove 25-PDVC/55-SHP10 and I emailed Englander to see if there was a way to make the stove burn a little hotter. they told me to change to mode "c" by uplugging the power cord then pressing the blower speed up and down buttons at the same time (within 10 seconds) and then pressing the heat range up or down to change the letter. The problem is I have done those steps an when I do them it does nothing it doesnt show a letter that im changing to or anything. am I doing somethig wrong?

Sounds like you are doing it right.
Call Englander and they will walk you thru it and make it work if possible.

Resetting the Stove and Changing the Heat Mode on 25-PDVC / 55-SHP10 to 'c' or 'd' mode.

Do ALL this when the stove is cold.

To do a control board reset... (Reset the stove)

Unplug the stove from the power outlet.

Plug the power lead back in.

You must press and hold the bottom 3 buttons all at the same time within 4 seconds and wait 3 seconds and then release buttons.

Wait 5 - 10 seconds for the F5 readout display to go blank.

Unplug power lead - wait 5 seconds.

Plug power lead back in and press both the room air temp buttons at the same time within 4 - 5 seconds, you should now see a letter (A, b, c or d) in the left digital display, you need to change this to 'd' or 'c' using the buttons below that readout, once set to 'd' or 'c' wait 10 - 15 seconds then unplug the power again and wait 5 seconds.

Plug power back in, then set the lower three (3) buttons to read 6 4 1 from left to right.

Fire up the stove on any setting for heat and blower speed, wait for at least an hour for the stove to get hot so that you can then make other changes as needed.

What does putting the lower 3 button on 6 4 1 do? and how would you do that?

These settings are used to set the low burn feed / air rate when the stove is set to 1 or 2 on the heat range. When you press one of the 3 lower buttons a number is displayed in the right digital window (blower speed window), you set the number with the up / down buttons below it.

also can I set the bottom three buttons with the stove on? does have to be cold?

Either, it does not matter in this case.

You mean you use the up or down arrows that are above the lower buttons right? there are no buttons below those 3 buttons on the bottom

Does help if you read what is in front of you.

So it does it burn hotter on 1 or 2 heat range if you put it to those settings?

Yes, if set to 6-4-1, the 'air on temp' must never be set above 1 or lower than 1.

The first number controls the fuel feed rate, the 2nd number controls the air feed rate. The last number (1) must never be changed.

Sorry for being a pain. Im just new to this. So it looks like its already set at 6 4 1. Does it come from the factory like that?

or is it pre-set when I put it in mode" c"

Some do, some don't.

No, it's set to whatever you or someone else set it too. Mine was set to 6-5-1 from new, these settings where not the factory default settings, I only found out the correct settings after I called the manufacture to ask questions etc.

So what is mode a & b do you know?
These two settings make the stove burn hotter, but the stove (25-PDVC) is not up to spec to use these two settings.

mode "c" def puts out way more hot air! Mode D really doesn't heat that well.
On 'c' mode the stove will use more fuel / pellets over 'd' mode to produce more heat, I only set 'c' mode if I am burning crap pellets or it's really could outside.

sounds like you did it right.
MAKE SURE- you start with a cold stove.
Unplug, plug back in,then quickly get to stove and press blower up/down at same time andrerlease quickly, then use up down arrow on heat range to get "C".

I find "C" is much hotter- good luck- hope this helps
