Coatesville,PA.
I just finished this so I haven't tried it yet.
I was trying to think of a way to hide the ugly blower and while walking around Tractor Supply I spoted the mailboxes.
Bent some sheet up for the duct. Its a Hack Job but I think it will work.
Now I need a piece of 5/16 plate for a baffle. SAM_0841.JPG

I bent and rivited the duct from a piece of sheet metal ducting. I just used the edge of workbench and my hands and a mallet.
The fan motor is a 100 cfm squirrel cage blower from some other type of stove that a found online.

Just mounted the blower to the inside of the mailbox and had the intake facing the vents ya made? Very nice! What kind of Fisher is that?
Yes. That's what i did. It does seem to get a lot more heat out of the stove. I have only burned it one weekend since I put the blower on but it seems to be worth doing.
I think the stove is just called a Fisher Fireplace Insert.

Air Mail !
It needs "FISHER" on the front, and "PIG TURD ALLEY" on the side.
No joke, that's the name of his lane. Typical Bob.

Air Mail! That's freekin funny. I was waiting for the resident expert to comment on my blower and it was a good one.
I'm not sure that my wife would like the PIG TURD ALLEY on there but i like it.

I finally did get around to adding a baffle to my insert. It is a 15 ½ x 19 ½ rectangle 1/4 thick steel plate.
It seems to increase the burn time some.
With both the blower and baffle added I think I do get a lot more heat out of the stove.

Thanks for the update. Here's the dimensions for the original blower duct;

Compliments of CamFan

So the original blower duct only extended to the center of the stove and blew air through the rigt side only?
I wonder why they didn't make it go all the way across the front?

There were many versions of blowers. I never saw this model used. I think each factory ordered their own blowers. I do know we hAd some made for our place.

The Insert should be 21 across front, and this is 18" centered in the middle to blow under, up the back, and out front.

Add on gray blower to housing that had original motor inside.

Hi, CamFan- Do you know where I can get a blower for my Fisher Insert? I've done some looking around, and they seem to be pretty scarce. If I can find the ducting, or any of the assembly, it would save me some time fabricating it all from scratch. By the way- it's the large Insert. I'm in Georgia, too.
This forum is full of useful info! Really glad I found it, and nobody was watching the door when I showed up...

I think I sold the last housing I had to a local guy One that went under the ash pan any way. You do not have the slots for one to mount like the picture Is that correct.

Ok, I have in wall tiny fans that make a lot of noise like thisView attachment 172748

I don't have any space under the stove to mount any other blower. Can I drill a hole through the metal surround and insert this fan motor I have from a Jenn air exhaust?

That will move the air behind stove and out the space above right?
