Loving these clean energy pellets...wow...I have never seen my stove light so quickly...no smoke...just bam instant fire...the ash is fine and not snowy....I even...dare I say it...relit the stove without cleaning out the burnpot...and it lit right up...I wish I had 10 more wood racks, I would stock up.

I know for a fact these clean energy are rebagged hamer's hot ones. However you need to consider that they are distributed by Lowe's and you cannot rely on availability. Buy up when you can but don't forget to support local dealer since they maintain availability.

Unfortunately I do no have any local dealers in my area....I would love it if I did. Closest one I can find is about 1.5 hours away in central Jersey or in PA or Delaware. So I am stuck with Lowes or Home Depot.

How much ash are you getting with yours? I am getting a ton of ash, fines and klinkers in my stove. Even the Walmart pellets were burning better for me.

Burning well here. More ash than LaCrete or Platinum for certain., I get klinkers with every hardwood I have burned I think. I find wally world (pennington) to be moderately ashy (moreso than Clean Energy) and VERY dusty with far less heat.

Just shows stoves are different.

They are the best ones I have burned thus far. I am actually saving them for the colder weather and using the green supreme now. I noticed a big difference when I went back to the GS...I am emptying the burn pot twice a day and vacuuming every two days. With the Clean Energy I was able to go 4 days before I had to vacuum and the ash was white and not black and thick. The glass stayed way cleaner. I really like them or better yet the serenity seems to like them. I won't even mention how bad the cheat river pellets were....shudder

I've been burning through 4 tons of Hamers we pruchased over the summer - as we were so pleased with them last season. But this years "crop" seems to produce a lot more ash, and i've had several clinker beds form, two this week. Rather disappointed, since last year's were so good. Trying different air-mixes to see if that works better. Running a Kozi 120 Shop Heater.

My first year with Hamers and I also get a lot of thick heavy ash. Not terrible but more than any other pellet I have used.

I suspect that year over year pellet "crops" seem to vary, may have to do with the sources of the mill wood that the pellet producers have access to. So the composition year over year, and even batch to batch may vary considerably. In the last two clinkers, we had this weird green residue in the clinker mass, obviously some funky impurity. Got it going again, and now running properly, with a richer air mix, hopefully will burn more fully and efficiently.

Have a look, if you're curious. What the hell IS that green crap?

Green around here usually means copper ... high copper in the soils where they harvest?
